Awesome organic yumminess. The Poach Di Parma is not to be missed and the Urth Granola Bowl is heavenly. Sit outside on the terrace.

That costs extra!. This was my first time at Urth. The menu was interesting and there was a crowd gathered at the entrance. A host guided us towards the 10 minutes line and handed us a menu so we would be ready to order.

I set my sights on a sandwich and a mango smoothie. The mango smoothie was listed as $5.75. As I got to the counter, the mexican cashier who did not speak good english told me there would be an surcharge for my mango smoothie if I did not add a second fruit. He couldn't explain why, just that this is the way it is. I explained that I did not want a mango/pineapple smoothie as he was trying to encourage me to get, I only wanted a mango smoothie and didn't understand why, since it is on the menu, I couldn't order it.

Frustrated, I had him remove the mango smoothie. The food arrived shortly after we sat down and it was tasty. Unfortunately, I must leave a poor rating due to the unhelpful staff, the wait time and mainly the fact that they don't honor their menu (my smoothie issue).

A great spot for greenbeans. Skip the Starbucks. We have too much corparatism in our lives. Urth is way cooler.

FindACool SANTA MONICA Restaurant. Came here with "Ira Todd Klein" Denise Klein, Jim Brightman and the best time of the whole year. Great food, great atmosphere.

love the coffee and everything else too!!. All I want on a saturday morning is a Spanish Latte from Urth with their amazing Banana Bread pudding with warm milk!! AMAZING, to die for!! Love it! I agree with other peeps, it is a little pricey but I still love it!

great coffee great food great vibe!. This place is great! I love coffee and this place brews the best spanish latte. They've got fresh fresh food. The pecan bun is my favorite. So decadent, goey and crispy. Their sandwichs and salad are also good. I always get the combo half a salad half a sandwich when i'm here for a meal. This is also a great date or hangout spot (more seating space than the one in melrose). The vibe is relaxing. It almost brings you into a whole other world. Although it is a little more than other places they always deliver. If you're looking for great food and drinks served with a smile come to urth caffe!

Great food!!. I love this place. I'm not going to lie- it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and the food is fresh and great! The service here is also very nice =) I like their oatmeal and quiches. Great place to grab a bite and they make good drinks and desserts!!

Great place! The food and atmosphere was great!. I went here for lunch on a Saturday. The place was packed and the line was long but they kept it moving quickly. We were seated promptly and out food wasbrought out shortly after. I had the grilled chicken breast sandwich with pesto. The bread was nice and crunchy, the chicken was flavorful and they put the perfect amount of pesto on it. The salad was nice and fresh but the dressing was flavorless and they didnt put enough dressing on it. I asked for more and it was never brought. I loved the atmosphere. It was very cute. Great place to bring friends or a date.

So sick of the lines, especially at lunch. I wish they would figure out a way to serve lunch so it doesn't take 25-35 minutes to get a salad. If you go anytime between 12 and 2, you will be waiting at least half an hour for your food, even for take out. The food is great, but I would go much more often if they had a better handle on the wait time.

My favorite Urth in L.A.!. One bite of Urth?s creamy and flavorful pumpkin pie with graham cracker crust, and I was instantly a fan of this cafe. The salads and sandwiches at this counter-order cafe always taste so fresh, like there was a farm in the back of the restaurant or something. Plus, their Spanish latte with honey is one of my favorite coffee drinks ever. (The little foam hearts, swirls and swans they decorate your drinks with are just too cute!) The Urth in Santa Monica is my favorite of the cafe's three location in the L.A., because of the adorable, intimate garden in the back with the tiny fountain that makes you feel like you?re in Europe. There are a couple of downsides, though: The Santa Monica Urth is always very crowded, and street parking can be hard to come by. Then there?s that too-tempting dessert case you have to stare at while you wait in line to order that will put your diet in peril!
