Good for dinner too.
If you're looking for a low-key, inexpensive dinner in Beverly Hills, Jack N' Jill's is a great choice. The brightly lit venue doesn't have the glitz of the surrounding fine dining destinations, but the food is fantastic, especially for the price. I stopped in last night with my wife. We shared thier chicken plate and tequila lime chicken pasta... fantastic, especially considering the total bill was around $25. Plus, we had enough left over for lunch the next day.

I have found heaven in a bowl of grits.
I love getting up early on the weekend and coming here with my family. Just about everything I ordered was good, but I must say that their grits is just to die for. I am not even from the South, but I could eat it all day long. Most times, I'll have my husband order it for himself as well, and he'll eat about half of it, and I'll finish it off. I know it probably takes a couple of pilates sessions to burn it off, but it's so good!

Cool place for breakfast in LA.
Jack n' Jill's is a cool place for breakfast in Bev. Hills/Hollywood/Westwood area. It's got a fairly quaint vibe and the crowd seems pleasant and relaxed..as much as can be expected in L.A.
The food was very good and it all seemed to be made from very fresh ingredients although some of it seemed very under seasoned and bland. It was obvious though that we were eating good quality food.
I highly recommend Jack n' Jills (although i don't want it any more crowded for my sunday breakfast...right now the wait has always been 15 min or under.)
it may take a few tries to find the perfect items for you, but you will find lots of goodies here!! i.e. the cinnamon croissant french toast.

bad food, bad service, very overpriced....
I'm 28 years old and this is the first review I have ever written in my life. I feel compelled to almost inform people about what a joke this place is. A group of 6 of us went there for breakfast...putting aside the food was not that good at all, it is outrageously overpriced. First, juice is $6.25 a glass!!! Then, omelletes are 12-13/each, which is fine if they are good. However, they went 0/3 in our group in terms of people satisfied with their omelletes. Next, service. After taking forever to take our orders, they get a few items wrong. First, they brought one party onion rings instead of sweet potato fries (mistakes happen, but thought I would point it out). Next, my sister orders a goat cheese omellete and she gets an omellete without goat cheese. How do you forget the main ingredient? Not a fan of this place.

GREAT Food & Service.
This place totally rocks. Wonderful food and even better service. We couldn't have asked for a better experience on Father's Day. Our waitress was amazing, even with the holiday rush.
NOTE: The macaroni & cheese and strawberry lemonade are to die for.

Jack and Jill's Been Good to Me.
My experiences at Jack and Jill's have been wonderful. The first time I went my brother and I were seated at the middle table next to the bakery and everytime we go we tend to get that same seat which we like. My food as alway been great, and our servers were wonderful to us. The blueberry muffin is one of the best I've ever had, served super hot. The butter just melts right into it. If we go for breakfast I always get the egg with salmon and the applewood bacon, very thick and hearty. I've also had the avocado and bacon sandwhich with sprouts for lunch and it is one of my favorite. I even dropped in once when I was in the middle of a photo shoot to get some water and they had chairs available in the front and water with lemon available for very hot days. We didn't sit down to eat or anything, just rest a little bit in the available chairs, me, my subject, and assistant. I also had my camera stuff with me. No hassle, the guy was nice, asked if we needed anything. The prices are very reasonable, the same as Roscoes Chicken and Waffles, who has actually gone up a dollar or two on their menu, but it's a better menu. With my bro and I together, we've never paid more than $25 food, drinks, and a few little extras. Great place. I would go again.

Crappy Service.
I have been there about four times in my life, and this past friday was the last. The servers will treat you better if you are dressed like you're worth money. The two times I went in there wearing sweats and a tank, I got bad service. The servers don't know enough about the type of food and product information, so don't ask them. The servers hardly come around, so don't count on a refill of your coffee, or extra cream or what-not.

Health code violations and shady business.
While eating a Saturday morning brunch we were seated near the bakery counter in the front of the restaurant when we observed an employee dropping the ice scoop and bucket onto the dirty floor. The employee left it there for a few minutes until another employee picked it up and put it back near the ice bin. About 30 seconds later another employee started using the dirty ice scoop to fill 4 glasses of water!!!
When I confronted the manager he apologized but said he could not yell at the employee now because the place was "too busy" and he "needed their help".
Next, as I was finishing my latte, I noticed the cup was dripping into my saucer. Next thing I know the saucer is full of latte coming through the severely cracked coffee cup. I again confronted the manager who did nothing except to offer a shallow and insincere apology.
When I was leaving, I specifically left a $0 tip to express my concern about the cleanliness and lack of respect of individuals at this establishment only to return home and notice then had added a 15% tip to my credit card bill!!!! Can you believe this? What shady business practices!!!
The food was ok, nothing special, yet overpriced. Service leaves a lot to be desired. I will not return here to support their shady business practices and lack of cleanliness.

Citysearch Editorial Review.
With its wooden-plank floors, cookbook- and coffee can-lined shelves and down-on-the-farm mural, the cafe feels like a film-set country kitchen. At closely spaced tables, diners dig into ranch hand-sized portions of chocolate chip-pecan pancakes and cheesy grits; a litany of egg creations, from ham and cheddar omelets to spicy turkey frittatas, is served all day. At lunch, the menu expands to include burgers and tuna melts, brie-pear paninis, skillet-blackened chicken wraps, salads and the cafe's specialty, country-fried steak sandwiches.

Star watching with great food!.
I just moved to Los Angeles, and am always on the lookout for a good brunch spot. I happen to be addicted to US weekly and I always see stars dining at Jack and Jills. I am not usually on the westside but I decided to travel west for an experiment. Once in Beverly Hills, I did some shopping with a friend and then we went to Jack and Jills. It was primetime, so there was a wait. There seemed to be alot of hustle and bustle going on with people on their lunch break. Looked like an agent at every table and I spotted Sylvester Stalone (bad plastic surgery by the way) The service was great, I got the strawberry oatmeal pancakes. The waitress recommended it, and she was right. It wasn't like going to some resteraunts in where the wait staff looks like they just got out of club and you are intimidated to speak to them. It was a very down to earth and cool place where everyone from stars to hipsters can dine. Unfortunately the only thing I have to say is that the food took a half an hour. The waitress apologized and then the manager came up and apologized as well. They ended up giving us our meal for free. If the scenary weren't so great, I might get tired of waiting. The greatest thing is that everyone fits in here, and I will go back again.
