great revolving conveyorbelt sushi, fresh various fish, fresh food, mediocre everything, more expensive sushi restaurant, attentive staff, great prices
Good for the price. It's good for the price. Sushi is cheap, so I ate it until I was sick (No joke!) After my friend and I ate, the bill came out to $23, so no complaints. I can take my people here. Sometimes, the sushi is great, sometimes its substandard, so it depends on luck.

Fresh food, Hella Cheap.
Went her on a hunch last night only after reading its citysearch reviews. Was quickly greeted by the owner who was very nice and explained to us how everything works. The sushi was outstanding. The yellowtail and salmon were amazingly good and melted in our mouths. Simple, great quality and cheap. Oh and did I mention my boy has the record of plates of sushi consumed? 25. How do you like them apples?

great for $2.00 a plate. this is the best revolving conveyor-belt sushi that I have had so far in LA... the fish was generally fresh and the selection of sushi and rolls was very nice. The only bad thing I could say about the place was that it had a distinctly fishy odor upon walking in that would not be found in a more expensive sushi restaurant. The best part, though, is the price - $2.00 a plate is an incredible bargain for some of these dishes! Of course, you have to keep in mind that this is incredibly cheap sushi, so don't compare it to more expensive places in your mind, and you will be happy.
Good sushi (for the $). Obviously you can get better sushi elsewhere - but not for this price. $2 a plate! And because it's revolving sushi you can get your food pretty much instantaneously. I was impressed with the sweet shrimp and squid pieces and the salmon rolls stuffed with crabmeat. Nothing was bad, but nothing blew me away (except the bill, $29 for 2 people, and we really pigged out). We got there right when it opened at 6PM and it was almost instantly full, so maybe make a reservation. You have to pay $2 to park in their lot, so if you have time look for a meter on Olympic.
Decent. Decent fish for the price. Haven't had a bad piece yet. The conveyor belt is fun but the seating is a little crowded. Make reservations if you don't want to wait.
Good DEAL. What you get for your MONEY is good. Its about B- sushi for C- price. But that's about it. Everythign is pretty plain - very no frills. The ginger is tasteless, as is the wasabi. The rolls are only tasty if you order them made right there - if you get them off the conveyor belt thing, they're basically blah. The servers are very nice though, you never feel like you're irritating them by asking for things or needing somethign specific. Overall, good b@ng for your buck but nothign special.
HORRIBLE!. So, all these people who rave and rant about the greatness of this place, have you ever actually been to a GOOD sushi resturant? I can honestly say, this is the worst of the worst... not only was the service horrible, but the food took long to come out. The waitress was inconsiderate and discourteous. There was several people who came in and ordered food after us, but yet, all of their food came out way before ours. We were not provided with any helps or smiles throughout our meal. The sushi might be only $2, but i think the burger shack across the street will fill you up more than their sushi. I say you should think twice about trying this Daichan Kaiten- Sushi place out!
Now I can get my sushi fix on a budget!. This place rocks. I was very skeptical about the $2 price tag, but most things I would normally order were only $2!! I have my favorite other sushi spots, but this one does the trick when I don't want to feel robbed after I pay my bill. I will FOR SURE be going back. The spicy tuna roll, albacore sushi, and of course a deep fried number were all sooo good. AND the beer is even cheap! This is definitely a rarity in LA and is now on my list of favorite spots.
Great sushi find. I have to say that I was shocked at how great a find this restaurant is. I work in the area and love sushi, but when I heard about $2.00 sushi I was skeptical. I went in for dinner and fell in love. This sushi is the freshest sushi you can buy for a really low price. I have worked for restaurants in the past and I can tell you this is no frozen fish. They were cutting a fish right in front of me and served it right away and it was delicious! The overall price of my check was great. The other high quality restaurants are charging you for overhead, posh ambiance and outrageous payroll costs. This restuarnt keeps it real!
