Not what it seems

I went to Hollywood Data Recovery with a 400 GB external drive. I paid a $100 deposit. I was told within 24 hours I would receive an email with a quote as to the exact price of the data recovery and a list of the recoverable files. After 4 days and several emails later I finally received word my hard drive could not be 'stabilized' it would need the 'clean room' and a quote of $1900. NINETEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS.

The list of recoverable files does not come until after I agree to pay the $1900. For all I know they can recover two JPEGs. I am out $100. I do not feel this company was honest with me. I was trying to recover family photos, nothing more.

• Cons: Not honest with pricing.

Best Data Recovery in Town!

I recently suffered from a hard drive crash - completely unable to access any file on my desktop. These were critical files. I called around and was quoted minimum prices of $2500 +. Not at Hollywood Data - they assured me that they would do everything in their power to recover my data at the lowest cost possible. AND THEY DELIVERED. They were friendly and took the time to help me. Because of them - I was able to recover ALL of my data at a rock bottom price. Highly recommended! Don't waste your time elsewhere - go straight to Hollywood Data Recovery.

They saved my business!

I own a construction company. My hard drive crashed. I called their after hours number and spoke with Lando. He told me not to worry and would meet me at their office. By noon the next day I had all my data back. First off they were great, secondly I will never not back up my data again. I definitely recommend these guys! ~ John
