What happened?. How does one make chewy shrimp tempura? Wrap it in plastic after cooking? Refrigerating and reheating? No, microwaving. That's what I got last night. Just appalling. The whole place has a "Why are they doing it this way now?" feel.

When you get a $3 plate of sushi, you shouldn't have to focus on how small the portion is, or how there's an abundance of rice. Or why there's no roe.

I've had better sushi in land locked Bloomington, Illinois. This was just an austere, post-apocalyptic experience.

fast food sushi. I'm at Mac now. I enjoy the quick food (some pre-prepared). It's simple and $2.75 a plate... If u want luxury, it's not for you. ( bobbing head to the great loud music).

Love The Spicy Tuna With Orange Sauce!. Very Quick, In and Out of there restaurant. It's fast food sushi. $2.75 a plate, the cheapest sushi I have found and is very tasty. Perfect place for a quick bite at lunch. I love the spicy tuna with orange sauce, the crunchy roll, the shrimp tempura roll, the eel roll, the salmon roll, it's all good. It can get crowded but the wait is never that long, it's fast food sushi. The people behind the counter are quick and fast and don't have time to make conversations so they may come off rude or unpleasant but that's what keeps the crowd moving in and out of there so fast.

An inexpensive sushi fix if you need one, but wouldn't recommend it otherwise. VERY small place and not very friendly at all! The menu is very limited. Mostly popular stuff like California rolls, spicy tuna, stuff like that. You sit at the bar, some one gives you a list of what they offer, then you choose. They give you drinks, like soda, from a can and you CANNOT special order anything. They have strict rules that are listed all over the bar such as, cash only, no special orders, do not move chairs around, all plates are $2.75, and the last one says loud music. That's an understatement! The music is very, VERY loud and it's tough to hear the person next to you. The food isn't horrible. It's not the best sushi I've ever had by any means, but if you are low on cash and really want some, it's not bad. I would go again, but not to sit down, have a nice meal with conversation. If you need sushi for cheap go here. Cash only but there is an atm machine in there. They are very quick too. Not bad, but not the best.

when you're craving sushi but don't have a lot of money.... go to sushi mac! its definitely worth it for the price and has some really tasty rolls! you can't beat $2.75 a plate. although the portions are small, its still worth it and the great part is- you can try new things and not feel bad about not finishing it if you don't like it! the spicy dynamite roll is SOOOOO yummy! i can see how people would be turned off by the appearance of the place but it is rated "A" for cleanliness so no worries! yes it does have imitation crab and no it's not THE best sushi i've ever had but bottom line is- hella cheap, fast and definitely some really delicious rolls!
