Owner
The Oinkster, a new fast-casual concept from acclaimed fine-dining chef Andre Guerrero, invites diners to kick back and enjoy high-quality American classics in a relaxed, modern and fun environment.
The Oinkster aims to be Los Angeles? antidote to both, expensive gourmet meals and their cheap fast food counterparts. On the restaurant?s $10-and-under menu that skips high prices in favor of better flavors, quality will be paramount:
Innovative and affordable, stylish and fun, The Oinkster will tread where no LA eatery has gone before with a no-attitude style in a smartly updated landmark building in the up-and-coming Eagle Rock neighborhood. Premium sandwiches made with house-cured pastrami or slow-roasted pork will compete for diners? attention with juicy burgers made from freshly-ground steer beef, first-rate rotisserie-roasted chicken and crispy Belgian fries.

In Short
With the original structure serving as its foundation, a large wrought iron patio has been added for a more upscale look. Counter service will continue, but chef/owner Andre Guerrero (Max, Senor Fred) has crafted a menu that reflects the finer side of casual dining. Selections include Langer's-style pastrami sandwiches, high-quality pulled pork, Nebraska Angus beef burgers, and rotisserie chicken cooked on the old Parisian spit from L'Orangerie. Sides include Belgian fries and plantains.

Pretty pricey for a "fast-food" restaurant. Keep an eye on your food. You get up to refill a drink and your table gets cleaned and your meal ends up in the trash. Avoid at all costs.

I know they say they are slow, but no one wants slow. A burger doesnt take 20 minutes. OK and the buns. They get soaked with the juicy burgers. Hey folks, TOAST EM. Add some butter garlic as well and they would be the bomb. Pastrami is great however.

I'm a little confused how this place was considered cheap. My Pastrami sandwich which came with no sides was $9. I won't be going back.
