The bigger version of "Pig and Whistle". Know Pig and Whistle right? The plan B spot. Well here is the bigger version. This place was horrid for a Saturday night. All the loft is is the Highlands cut in half. Remember the back room where it was mostly empty, well now, thanks to a curtain, the "LOFT" is back there. Translation, cheap attempt to rejuvenate club. I will never revisit the Highlands/Loft again, its has truly become the California roll of clubs. The music was ok at best and the drinks were so so.

*If you are going to go, the Loft is a cheaper way to get into both clubs faster.

Modeled after venues like Avalon's Spider Club, this exclusive offshoot of the Highlands on its fourth floor caters to L.A.'s upscale hip-hop scene. Dripped in plasma TVs and outfitted with one of the loudest sound-systems in town, the space also features huge draperies, concrete floors and a deep-red upholstered lounge area reserved for bottled service. Everybody else resorts to a spot at the mirrored bar or on the dance floor under an eight-foot suspended platform supporting the club's rotating DJs.
