Always perfect. been here twice now and it's been excellent each time. No question worth trying, especially if you live in Santa Monica, or like Italian food.

Great location, easy to find parking, excellent owner, and the food will bl0w you away -

last time it was a beet stuffed ravioli like only a true Italian could make. mmm still tasting it.

best restaurant. che dire,,sono stato alla botte e mi sento a casa,,complimenti a tutti,,,che bravi,,ho letto qualche,,..review,e tantissime sono belle,qualcuno si lamenta ma come sempre quelli ne capiscono tanto,lo raccomando a tutti,e i fontina ravioli sono veramente buonissimi:-}a prestooooooooooooooo

Not as good as expected.. Reading the reviews and getting a recommendation from friends, we were expecting much more from this restaurant. The food was fine, but nothing spectacular. Maybe they just had an off night. It was also odd that we were the only party in the entire restaurant for over an hour. Even at 8 pm when we left, the place was pretty empty. I know the economy is bad, but people still frequent the top restaurants. Maybe it is a sign that it is not as popular.

Since there are so many favorable reviews, I would have to recommend you try this restaurant for yourself, but maybe would recommend nearby Valentino's first as their food is really amazing.

We keep going back... it's marvellous. I love this place. We have been quite a few times. The food is rather sublime. Service is attentive, without being intrusive. I highly recommend it.

waiter from hell. We arrived at 8:00 for our reservation and waited for 35 minutes for a table. No problem. Upon being seated, the waiter threw menus at us and asked if we wanted sparkling or still water. Tap please. He rushed off, and we waited...and waited....and waited. After 20 minutes, I flagged down a bus boy and begged for water and our waiter. Water arrives, but no waiter. Still waiting. We asked the woman at the front desk for our waiter. Now not as patient. The waiter arrives and proceeds to YELL at us that he was extremely busy and if we couldn't live with that then he would just see to it that we got another waiter. I am not kidding. He was yelling. We agreed another waiter would be better. The new waiter arrived and took our order. The first two courses were good, but we WAITED (without complaint) at least 30 minutes after completing them for the main course. During dessert, the woman who seemed to be in charge strolled by and asked if we were OK now. We explained that we felt we had been treated poorly by the waiter. She defended him saying that he was their most popular waiter. We countered that we were looking for service, not personality. Sorry, she said. That was it. In this economy, I would think a restaurant would take more steps to ensure every customer was happy with their food and their service. If this restaurant doesn't make it in this economy, I'll just say to myself, "sorry." Unless you like to wait, I would avoid this place like the plague!

Great Food Good Service. I come to Los Angeles a few times a year and love to eat out. Every once in a while I discover a new restaurant and this is one of them. I really enjoyed a dinner at La Botte the other evening. My friends took me there desparate to get me away from my old haunts and they were right. The pasta was superb, great wine list and the bread was even amazing. I tasted a bit from everyones plate and the meat and fish were cooked to perfection.

My only issue was how dark the room is. I was the only one at my table who even cared, so maybe it's me.

All in all I really had a good time, great food with attentive service.

Great food, not so great service.. I've been here a number of times and the food has always been great. Last night was no exception. However, the service was poor last night. We ordered two 1/2 bottles of wine and ended up pouring them ourselves. To add insult to injury, the waiter forgot to include one of the 1/2 bottles on our check, but alas remembered just in time to hand us an adjusted check before we signed our credit card statements. Not what I would expect for the price and praise of such a restaurant.

Wonderfull experience....... The food is great! The service is outstanding! What can I say I would go back a million more times.....

I had the filet it was very tender, my husband had the halibut and it was fresh and amazing.....

suprisingly amazing. i've been going to La Botte since it opened. i was waiting for it to open! i feel bad tha i hadn't written a review yet but the food here is so good. great place to take family. something for everyone!

Incredible. This is by far the best restaurant in LA. The food is incredible. I have been here several times and never had a bad dish. The manager is incredible. He is friendly informative, and knowledgeable, he makes the whole experience. I can't imagine reviews where people did not like this place.
