In Short – A spacious red and grey post-modern room sports an elegant black sushi bar, leather banquettes and white tablecloths, punctuated with river rocks and lanterns. Outdoor patio tables afford pleasant mall-watching. The substantial menu features fancy rolls, but the chef's specialty is haute sauces like shrimp with black smelt, baked eggplant with fois gras, kampachi with yuzu-pepper, and mackerel with ginger seaweed. Oysters come raw, baked, steamed and deep-fried. Mains include king crab salad, Yakitori chicken, black cod and short ribs.
