like good island style food, tasteless endeavor inland, warm higgins, good everything
Better than L&L. Yes, Ono is better than the L&Ls in SoCal but that's not saying much. The food has been inconsistent but I just stick with the chicken and the musubis. There are better Hawaiian style grinds in SoCal but those places are far from Hollywood.
a pretty lame attempt at plate lunch. this is not that place if you like good island style food. while everything on the surface looks good, it is a thin veneer and you will be unimpressed. if your sweating and shaking for that after surf style grinds, than this may do in a pinch.
Gidgets beware!. Take a foster farms dishonerably discharged bird, splash some generic bbq sauce on him,fry him up, dress his cardboard coffin with steam rice, cabbage, and mayo-drenched macaroni and you got yourself ONO. (Or as I would like to call them NONO) How is this considered hawaiian? Quite obviously this business doesn't operate onthe island itself. They have to take this tasteless endeavor inland. Greg Brady if you're still surfing Waikiki...Stay there! MahalNO is the only thing I can say about the service. How about a smile? The service here would make "Higgins" seem warm by comparison. The staff is comprised of a bunch of disgruntle late teens who by their own design of bad judgement, got themselves stuck in a position in which they don't enjoy. I'm done!!! 3 lackluster tries and I still haven't forgiven myself. Next time I want Hawaiian, I'll go hunt my own boar.(John Locke style)
