The best little Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. Excellent!! Everytime I go I usually order their specials and it's always great. Well last night was the best by far. Right now they have mozzarella that is flown in once a year, very tasty a must have while they have it. The lobster pasta was great and the quail was splendid. We shared it all and they will divide it for you too and they don't charge like those other restaurant. Those of you who haven't gone has to go at least once and you'll keep going back like we do. Oh and the owner is always there, you see them cooking in front of you (well on the side where you walk in). The place is small so the food is always cooked fresh! You can't beat that. Two of the waiters must have been there a long time (not sure how long) but they describe the food as if they had made it themselves. TRY IT. You'll be glad you did! and it's worth the drive if you're not in the neighborhood. It's in an outdoor shopping center so you may miss it. But don't let the exterior of the location change your mind because it's worth every bit!! The selection of wine is just as good, so you won't be disappointed in anyway except when it's crowded and you have to wait but you get to see all the food that goes out which may make your decision easier. ALWAYS ASK TO HEAR THE SPECIALS BEFORE LOOKING AT THE MENU. We usually don't look at the menu. I think we did twice of all the times we've gone. Oh and sometimes you can ask to make something special and they might be able to too.

Best secret of the UGLIEST strip mall ever!!!. I live about 2-3 blokck from this place, and had biked/drove by w/my lady a number of times and we'd said things like "what an ugly place" "geez, what a dumb name" and a # of other derogatory things.

Wow, could we not have been further off base. It's ALL ABOUT THE FOOD! and service too.

Looking at the menu one day while getting beer, I thought, why not? It's got pasta, and lots of veal (love it), so WTF?

We went, and never even opened the menu. It's really all about the specials. Split a mushroom/parm appetizer, it had a texture like a tasty sponge on cheese chips. Fantastic. My lady had the sea bass (a special) and I had the veal chop, in a sauce w/sun dried tomatoes. I had had the veal chop at Valentino's a while prior to this, and it was every bit as delicious, mabye more so. Anyhow, don't be put off by the location/looks of the place: in this city we're lucky to have a place that really puts it all into the food. No pretentious B.S., just world-class food.

Also, our waitress was OUT-F***IN-STANDING!! Rarely have I had such professional well thought out service. She handled everything with grace and ease. Never over-present and very helpful with everything.

Dessert. Well, the lady is a chocolate freak, so much as I would have liked to share a tiramisu or creme brule it wasn't gonna happen, so we went with the chocolate whatever it was. Wow. It was almost better than s&x. It actuall WAS better than some s&x I've had, to be honest. Anyhow, if you're thinking about trying this restaurant out you should do it. About $100 for two. It's worth every penny.

Best Italian in LA, especially the specials!!!. One of the best restaurants in LA. The menu is great but don't make a decision until you've heard the specials. Once you've been there a few times and they recognize you there are even more specials they let you know about, and if they ever have the gnocci, order it. The best I've ever had. It's a great hidden treasure, with agreat food, service and an open kitchen so you can watch it all happen.

Better then any restaurant in Beverly Hills . ... I lived on the west side for many years and my fiance loves to eat. We use guides to tell us what's new, where to go to find a good meals. We moved to Los Feliz and kept doing our research, well, we came across Aroma, now we have a favorite restaurant. It use to be Hungry Cat, now Aroma is #1. And the bread . . .the variety of the specials and oh the service is great, you see them cooking right out in the open, nothing to hide. The owner is there too unlike a lot of other restaurants. It's small so you might want to check to see if you can get in.

GOOD FOOD, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT.. As everyone says, the food is quite good. For some reason they haven't gotten it together in regard to setting up reservations. Last night we waited 45 minutes beyond our reservation time. The visit before that an hour. I think most people do not sit down at their reserved time. Waiting for this restaurant requires you either wait in the restaurant's small waiting area, or outside in the strip mall where you can sit on a cold tile ledge.

Great service, great food!. My husband & I decided to give this place a try, after reading the other positive reviews on CitySearch. We definitely were not disappointed! Your meal starts with complimentary bruschetta, followed by a basket of warm bread. We had the spinach ravioli and linguini and clams, both were fabulous! The service is GREAT and the food was really delicious. Don't let the outside appearances fool you (it's in a non-descript strip mall), it is small inside but very cozy and lovely. We'll be back!

The BEST italian food I've EVER had!. Aroma restaurant is a small restaurant near silverlake. I heard about it from a friend who swore it was the best food, so I figured I'd try it out for myself. It has a very friendly atmosphere. Its relaxed, the staff is very attentive, and the chef Edin greets each customer with a sincere smile. I started with a mango seafood salad, and that was to die for, it melts in your mouth, I wanted to ask for more and more but figured I should try the rest. Afterwards I had a ravioli pasta, WOW! and my friend had filet mignon and WOW! the food was amazing, we looked at the people around us and they had the same expression on their face as we did when wevfirst had a taste of the food, a huge smile crossed their face and their eyes gently closed as they savored the most delicious food ever. We ended our meal with tiramisu and again we were shocked at how incredibly delicious each piece of food we put into our mouth was. If you want great food, this is the place to go, the food and service are AMAZING!

White tablecloth Italian comes to a Silver Lake strip-mall, offering old school favorites served with care.. In Short
Single-named chef/owner Edin spent 15 years at Valentino, where he honed his traditional Italian cooking skills and learned the art of making guests feel like honored family. In his petite two-room space with cafe-au-lait-colored walls, diners watch--and smell--the tall-hatted cooks at work behind a carved wooden bar. Nightly specials double the size of the chicken, scampi, veal and pasta-heavy menu, and usually include the popular shrimp, calamari and mango salad. Desserts include house-made creme brulee and tiramisu.

Upscale Italian in a Strip Mall. What a special place in an unlikely location , located in a Strip Mall.

The Food speaks volumes about the Chef's experience at Valentino for 15 yrs.

Very good food and reasonable prices, you can't go wrong! Wine Friendly also.
