In Short – Pinot fans can still savor the summer-dinner-party feel of the sprawling outdoor patio enclosed by vine-covered walls, and enjoy the classy dining room redone in blue-grey tones. The menu includes traditional and modern seasonal dishes like smoked and grilled Kurobota pork chops, wine-braised pot roast and lobster-pomegranate salad. The bar and lounge feature oversized ottomans, a fireplace, an expansive cocktail menu and small plates of oysters, pork and duck sausage and foie gras torchon.

Bad food, bad service

by brleegirl

I read the reviews on citysearch and thought this was a new Hollywood restaurant that would be fun to go to on a Saturday night. Well, let's start by saying that this place is big, about two inside rooms and a huge outside patio. Our reservations were at 8, and the place was almost empty. There were maybe four or five other tables there!! Weird... The service was horrible. Every time we would ask our waiter something, he would make a face and say "OK, hold on one second." He would come and ask us, is everything ok? and we would ask for something, he would reply "Oooook, one second," as if we were bothering him every time. The food was horribly blend. We ordered mushroom risotto - there were two microscopic pieces of mushroomms in there. It felt like they just boiled rice and added butter to it. It was the blendest risotto I've ever had in my life. The steak was OK, but let's just say they didn't even bring steak knives. After trying to flag down a waiter for 5 minutes, he finally brought me a REGULAR knife. Skip this place!

Looks Like Things Have Changed

by thedrunkenmonk

I work next door and have been coming here for years. I had been coming here alone because I grew tired of hearing my friends and lady complain about...well, you have read the reviews and they're fairly accurate. I'm just not very picky and when I'm alone I seem to get better service, plus the staff recognizes me by now and they know my likes and dislikes.

Things have been changing for the better at my local eatery for the past month or so, which is why I'm bringing my lady back Friday night when they have live music on the patio. They've hired a gentleman to play classical guitar and he'll sing every few songs, sometimes in French then in Italian and then you'll hear something else in Spanish. It's really a beautiful setting for dining on the patio.

I make a point of picking the new managers brain about what he plans on doing next whenever he stops by my table. Last time he told me that if the restaurant were a living thing it would 1. be hungry and 2. lonely! So he plans on coaxing the chef into bulking up on the portions served and then do some grass roots marketing.

I took some flyers off the bartender and handed them out to every dept. in my building. What can I say, I'm a good guy! More importantly, I really like the changes I see happening over there.

More to come with news on date night Friday.....

Good food but very small portions

by dreamchaser

I just ate here tonight. It's a Wednesday so it was pretty empty. Not lively at all. We sat outside on the patio but the whole place has a very nice ambiance and decor. I had the lychee martini and pomnegrante martini...both were very good. My friend had the risotto...he liked it a lot. I had the crispy chicken...very, very good. My only complaint was that the portion sizes compared to the prices were VERY small! I could not believe how little chicken came on my plate. Also, I found their dessert menu to be a little lacking. However, we did get a dessert that was some kind of berry cobbler or something. When it arrived, it didn't look how we imagined it to be. It was actually just a berry muffin with a dollop of ice cream on top. It was incredibly small...however, it was VERY good!
