Flavor shrimp in a quaint little spot!. I google shrimp and this place popped up. I drove over and was at first hesitant due to the parking lot (almost all COMPACT spaces). But once I tasted the shrimp, I forgot about all of that. The shrimp were so flavorful. I didn't care for the coconut rice, but I will definitely return for the shrimp! YUMMY!

Tried their catering, now I must try the restaurant. I attended a Red Carpet Gala for a film festival in Hollywood on Tuesday. I was suprised to notice the food catered to this event was giving off a great auroma. I ventured over to the food table to find zesty sauteed shimp, spicy chicken and rice with a special garlic & butter sauce. Of course I tried them all with a slice of pinapple and orange on the side. I love the taste of the shelled shimp, but the chicken was 'tropilicious'. The bite size squares were loaded with flavor. My thoughts about the preparation was that "they had to marinate these chicken breast for a while to have this much taste through the core of the chicken. "

I did not know much about Hawaiian cuisine, but I soon realized that this is how a tropiacal meal should be... the only thing I missed was the island to relax after the experience. Since the restaurant is not to far from where I live I am prepared to make it a frequent eating spot.

Hawaiian shrimp shack sets up shop with affordable eats and down-home atmosphere in La Cienega strip mall.. In Short
Hidden in a street-side mini mall of well-assorted shops, this Polynesian eatery specializes in North Shore cuisine, with an assortment of shrimp-inspired dishes for lunch and dinner. Making the most of its modest space and location, the restaurant features cozy two-top seating areas surrounded by Hawaiian folk-art, original photographs and surfing magazines. The menu utilizes an assortment of imported and domestic shrimp for his signature garlic scampi accompanied by sides of coconut rice, tropical salads, and ornamental wedge of fresh pinapple.

So authentic you can almost hear the waves rolling up onto the Hawaiian North Shore!. Super friendly staff greets you with a warm Aloha and sends you out with an appreciative Mahalo. They serve up the best garlic shrimp scampi off of the islands. It is simple. It is quaint. It is as authentic as you are going to get with out getting on a plane to get there! The only thing missing is the sound of the shore, the warm sand under your feet and the sweet smell of the island flowers. Hang loose! Your gonna love this place!
