love milk, like friendly shopping experience, really good hip designers, very pricey sales, amazing clothing, not like salesgirls, like service
Great Selection. Great Sales Staff.. I too can't imagine what stylemaven is talking about -- the girls at Milk are so sweet, so friendly and so stay out of your way until you need them, I have always been struck by how much I like their service as well as thier clothes. I am a complete fashion hound and I won't even go into Scout. First of all, they don't have anything except a few overwrought "artsy" pieces that are not very wearable unlike Milk which has a huge inventory of really good, slightly off the beaten track, very hip designers.
Coolest clothes in LA and really sweet staff. I LOVE milk! It's such a cute store and I stop in whenever I can or go to Toast and always find something cute. In my experience the girls who work there are so cute and sweet and chatty with me always and make really good recommendations! I personally like that they're not desperate and all over me to buy something and are always super honest. Also, I actually went in once when Rachel Bilson was in there and they totally were helping us both as well as some other girl that was in the store and I didn't at all feel like they were helping her or preferring her over me or the other customer. Stylemaven 12 maybe you were just having a bad day because I really can't imagine the girls there being rude and especially not making a comment like "only starlets wear that size"--i mean, who uses the word 'starlet' anyway?
Milk does a body good!. I absolutely love Milk! Seeing what stylemaven12 said below I have to disagree with. When I shop at Milk their sales staff greets me and then lets me know if I need help with anything, to let them know. When I pick out a dress or top they set up a dressing room for me without being annoying. Who wants to shop at a boutique when you have someone forcing a dress down your throat like they do at Iconology or Scout! It sounds like stylemaven12 is trying to get people to go to Scout or Inago since most people (that appreciates amazing designers and clothing) shop at Milk and Hillary Rush! So go squeeze into that size 0 dress, stylemaven12, that is 2 sizes too small, but I am sure Inago and Scout's staff will tell you it fits great! I'm sorry, but Milk is a great store!
Best boutique in Town!. I have to DISAGREE with stylemaven. I have been shopping at milk since it has opened and recieved nothing but star treatment everytime. I am not a "starlet" but I recieve the same treatment anyone else would. I am very fashion oriented and milk ALWAYS has what I am looking for. Perhaps if stylemaven has such a problem with her shopping experience with milk boutique, she should go down the street to Kmart.
if you're not famous we really dont care to help you. This store probably has the worst customer service that I've experienced at a boutique. I have shopped in this store a handful of times, and each time have been treated as if i'm inconveniencing the sales staff by giving them my money! The salesgirls who act as if they are about 16 do not like to look for sizes, or check on one while they are in the dressing room. Both times that i've actually tried to purchase something the girls just sit by the register eating w/ their friends, and not being able to ring me because of this. When they Finally someone will get around to taking my money, and "letting" me purchase something, of course this is done w/ greasy french fry hands touching my 400 dollar dress i'm buying!!!! I've also been told on a couple of occasions that "only a starlet can wear that size" when i actually work in the fashion industry and know what size I am!!!!! Unfortunately being the diehard fashionista that i am, i still purchased things on two occasions from this store as I really loved the dresses. However if you would like a friendly shopping experience I would suggest taking your business down the steet to Inago or Scout where they arent desperately eating by the counter waiting for "starlets" to appear.....
Great boutique!. This is one of my favorite shops in Los Angeles. They are very pricey, but their sales are great! A few times a year they have a 50-75% off sale, which is when I go, and I've gotten some top designer duds and shoes for a fraction of the cost.
West Hollywood's countryside-themed boutique brings city girls more than creme de la creme designers..
