great cheese, bad customer service, great roast beef sandwich, worst unique experience, surprisingly delicious unique, much more pleasant experience, compliment particular cheeses

Sandwiches and salads with imagination: Italian tuna salad w/ roasted tomatoes, curry chicken salad w/ cranberries, and custom cheese plates
Cheese selection that's worth the wait!.
This quaint shop would be as at home located off a cobble-stone street in Europe as it is off of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. Artisan Cheese Gallery is not only a great place to stop in for a salad or sandwich; it has cases full of everything you will need to create a wonderful meal at home.
Some of the day?s offerings are displayed on wooden cutting boards, ready to be sliced for a sample by the helpful staff. Their cheese inventory is too numerous to list here, but rest assured you can easily find an organic chevre to crumble on your salad or parmigiano reggiano to shave over your entree. If you are in the mood to press your own panini, they of course have several varieties of cheddar, mozzarella, or gouda.
The walls surrounding the central cheese counter are lined with shelves stocked with olive oils, jams and preserves, wines, cutting boards, and almost anything you would need to start a little bistro of your own ? or at least plenty to help you entertain your friends. Lunch time is the busiest for the store, so if you are coming for a meal we recommend calling ahead. If you are there to browse, coming earlier or later in the day will give you more room to roam. Street parking in front is limited and the lot behind Artisan is small as well. There is usually parking available next to the Big 5 on the other side of Ventura Place, and an entrance through the back of the store if you are desperate for a spot.

Do you like cheese?.
Do you love cheese? Do you like when someone selling you the cheese you love gets excited about cheese? Good. Then don't complain when your cheesemonger is enjoying cheese with another customer. Yes this place gets busy, but the railing on the service in some of these comments is ridiculous. This is a cheese shop, not a Starbucks along your morning commute. Embrace the cheese community who get through their day at the pace brie spreading away from the rind on a hot day. The fact is that the gallery has so many varieties of creamy, crumbly, soft, and crystally stinky goodness that customers take time at the counter and ask questions.
Great cheese; wine is available by the glass and you can get a flight of three well chosen wines along with charcuterie and some great sandwiches. Ignore the VIPs complaining on this page who weren't treated impotantly enough. It's no way to find great cheese or to enjoy it.
Absolutely Delicious. The Duck Confit sandwich is their main draw. It's on the sweeter side with a delicious combination of tender duck, creamy cheese, and sweet fig jam. If ever there was a perfect sandwich, this might just be it.
Best cheese in Studio city.
You cannot be in rush here, it is slow like other reviewers have stated. but if you have time and its your turn,
they take their sweet time with YOU, sampling, cutting slowly, its so anti-fast food here. don't know how they are with sit down service, but will try it again soon.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. This by far is the worst experience for customer service you can ever have. If you think at least it will be first come first serve YOU ARE WRONG! If you think it's not busy today I am sure I will get service YOU ARE WRONG! The cheese can be purchased at other cheese stors or even at mayfair market. DON'T BOTHER if you are expecting to be treated like a human being.
BAD SERVICE. The cheese is great BUT now that they are popular THE CUSTOMER SERVICE is horrid! Many times I have now goen in and NOT been waited on due to a lack of structure to their business. For god skaes people EVEN Ralphs has a number system. If you want to continue to grow invest in a system. If you want to lose customers who purchase over 200. each time they visit just keep doing what you're doing. DO not visit if you are in a hurry or believe in first come first serve.
Great Customer Service!. I read a review before I went about bad customer service but wanted to check it out anyway because other reviews didn't deny the quality of the food and cheese selection and I was in the mood for gourmet. Went with a friend for a quick bite and the nicest chef type helped us out. He suggested menu items and cheese selections and even let us taste many of his favorite varirties. The cheeses are amazing there and our experience was much more pleasant than I expected it would be. I'd rate this little place as a great stop-in and get your gourmet fix spot. The only con I found is that we smelled like food/oil when we left- maybe the place needs a bit better ventillation in the kitchen.
Sandwich shop or fromagerie?. Every city we travel to, we always try to visit every cheese store. Actually, when we saw the wording on this place, with 'gallery of cheese', we thought our cheese monger in Portland had opened an annex in his old home town. Well the similarity ended with the stolen phrases. Service was brusque, to put it mildly, and the cheese knowledge was not quite what we are used to back home. If the focus is on being a sandwich shop, I understand. But with so many untrained people opening cheese shops these days, it just makes it harder for us to find a traditionally trained fromager.
Unique, friendly, and surprisingly delicious.. This is a sort of quaint casual little cheese shop / neighborhood cafe-type place with about 6 or 7 tables. Besides the cheese and a bunch of interesting gourmet items like the interested selection of peanut butters (banana, chocolate, etc.) they also have a nice menu of salads and possibly the best sandwich I've eaten ANYWHERE. But the number one thing is the cheese plates. You pick what kind of cheeses you want, and they're really friendly and helpful. Then they bring them out, along with little dried fruits that compliment the particular cheeses that youve chosen. It's a really neat experience, expecially if you appreciate gourmet cheese.
The Worst Customer Service Ever!. After my first bad experience, I gave them one more chance because the roast beef sandwich was good. But, again, their customer service was appaling! My first visit was on a Saturday and they were busy, so I cut them some slack. Today, however, they were empty. They let me stand at the counter, menu in hand, eyeing them waiting for acknowledgment as two of the employees stood there bickering at the cash register about what to buy from Trader Joe's for their restaurant. After 5 minutes they finally told me they were no longer serving sandwiches and to come back tomorrow! I will never go back and make sure none of my firends even bother to waste their time there either! Why bother, just close the shop before you fail miserably. Boo!! Hiss!
