Montana Avenue's only spot for a quick, casual sushi fix..
In Short
A cross between a do-it-yourself Japanese deli and a sit-down sushi cafe, this casual neighborhood joint is where on-the-go lunchers, stroller-pushing parents and roll-craving locals stop by for their raw fish fix. About the size of a bento box, the space manages to squeeze in a pair of refrigerated bins with any number of a la carte items, ranging from cold seaweed salads and edamame to prepackaged California rolls, sweet shrimp nigiri and other Japanese staples. Along with the few tables sandwiched inside, there is a sushi bar where folks can order daily specials from the whiteboard as well as other fresh caught creations.
Hits: If this place weren't here, there'd be no sushi options (other than Wild Oats) on this long stretch of Montana.
Misses: The restaurant has about zero ambiance and service can be slow.
