Located between downtown and the Westside, this '50s-style bar upstairs from Taylor's Steakhouse recalls the bygone days of Mae West and James Dean atop eight-or-so Naugahyde-trimmed barstools amid patina walls, dark-wood trim and amber tulip-style lighting. The walls are cast with black-and-white photographs of another era, retracing the restaurant's history over 50 years. A heavy-television set flashes snowy images of sports games in-between telenovelas, with a dignified bartender pouring martinis and domestic champagne while telling old stories.…
