Located on LA's most high-wattage street, this popular nail salon keeps things clean and simple with neutral shades of greige and tan and prepackaged tools for every customer--no need to worry about getting someone else's germs here. Services range from basic $20 manicures and $25 pedicures to nail extensions like gelicures (a more natural alternative to acrylics), waxing and "kid-i-cures" for little ones.

It's gone downhill
by lanijred
I used to enjoy going here but last time I went in I noticed how old all the nail polishes are. They are either thick and crusty or watered down and streaky. You cannot charge as much as they do and offer an old gross product. I have not thought about going back since.

I decided to check out Bellacures as i had heard about it from one of my girlfriends... I decided to go in last week for a much need mani/pedi treatment. When i arrived. The girl at the front desk could have not been so rude, first she did not even look up or acknowledge me but she was on her cell gabbing away about some celeb that was in there.
i waited for almost 5 minutes and decided i didnt not want to stay if their front counter girls don't acknowledge when a customer arrives, or even says hello but to talk about clients to their friends on the cell phones i was very unimpressed.
Big Let-Down

I'd head great things about Bellacures, but was unfortunately very disappointed by their level of customer service and really nothing special mani / pedi.
I most definitely will not be returning.
- Pros: average mani / pedi
- Cons: poor customer service
The only place I'll ever let paint my toes

Part of me doesn't want to say anything. Part of me wants to keep it my personal secret -- even if it isn't such a secret that Bellacures offers the best pedicures/manicures at the price point in the city.
People know about it. People love it. And people keep going back for more. Because where else can one get a $25 pedi that will last an entire month? (Especially when the attentive Tommy is doning the nail polish brush.)
The prompt service, relaxing vibe, and impeccable results more than compensate for the terrible traffic and parking meter situation on Robertson. Relaxation doesn't come easy in LA, but at Bellacures, it can at least come without breaking the bank -- or a perfectly manicured nail.
- Pros: Clean, friendly employees, pedicures last
- Cons: Parking
Eh...just so-so
by struesdell
I ended up at Bellacures due to citysearch's raving endorsement. I got a same day appointment easily enough for a Tuesday night. Parking wasn't a problem, mostly because it was after 6 on a week night. They weren't busy, and the place was essentially empty. Just two other women getting something done. I got a regular mani-pedi. Nothing too fancy, but not the "mini" versions of their services either. The guy that did my nails was friendly. I'm not much for talking while getting my nails done, but he tried to make polite conversation.
So, the good: the place is clean. New files and brushes opened up for each client. I got to take the files and brush home (not really sure what I'll do with them though). Tools were also right out of the sterilizer packaging. The pedicure was more thorough than the manicure. He took his time. Didn't try to upsell me on any special treatments. The massage was very good, if a little short. They gave me a discount even though I wasn't a "member."
The not so good: maybe the disposable files are good to prove your place is clean, but they weren't the greatest quality files. My nails ended up a little rough on the underside either because the file was too rough or the tech was too rushed with the manicure. My big toe nail broke yesterday because a rough edge snagged on my sock. The cut and shape job on my hands was not great. Uneven and the corners were too sharp (granted, I could have spoken up about this at the time). My pedicure has already chipped. I think the polish was applied too thickly.
Basically, it was okay. I would have expected more for the price/hype. They make a really big deal about how clean they are. Which is great, but really, they should invest a little more effort into making the end product as good as their cleaning habits.
- Pros: Clean, friendly
- Cons: average quality, poor filing/shaping.
