Editorial Review for Tender Greens – by Martha Burr
In Short
Accenting the upscale artsy vibe of this rejuvenated Culver city neighborhood is this eco-friendly date spot, Sony exec lunch spot and organic haven for locals. Inside, polished blond wood and stainless steel exude modern warmth and huge plate glass windows bring the outdoors in. The wraparound sidewalk patio offers tables under fragrant Jacaranda trees amid herbs and vines. Specialties include big salads made with Scarborough Farms greens, gourmet soups, sandwiches and mesquite-grilled flatiron steak and free-range chicken.

Insider Tips
ParkingStreet parking is limited during busy hours--there's a public structure around the corner on Watseka.
What to DrinkFresh-squeezed juices, artisan sodas, micro beers on tap and boutique wines by the glass or bottle are available.
Where to SitThe coolest seat is the cushioned banquette on the patio just outside the front door--it's shaded and off the street but still good for people-watching. A lovely rough hewn wood table with rustic benches is ideal for larger groups of eight to 10.

Just went for lunch and had the Nicoise Salad with grilled cauliflower on the side and was blown away. It is fast, super fresh (you actually watch them grill the tuna/hanger steak/chicken/vegetables as you wait). I just love how high quality and convenient it is. Just go for lunch and breathe in the awesome.
Pros: Amaingly fresh food, outdoor seating, and nice people
Cons: none unless your a fool

I have been looking forward to going to Tender Greens for quit a while to have a great Cobb Salad well the salad was not great. No blue cheese and the chicken was dark meat and way too much chopped egg. As we left my wife decided to check the menu to see if blue cheese was part of the salad and it was. They forgot the blue cheese. The Cobb Salad at Farmer Boy's on Alameda is much better and has chicken breast not dark meat. It is also $5.00 less. It also does not have blue cheese. Bring your own blue cheese and you have a great Cobb Salad.
Pros: Good lemonade.
Cons: Parking, long lines and no blue cheese.
