Bad food and management – Fake Italian food and poor quality service. Stay away.
great lunch spot find – I had always just walked or driven by La Strada even though I live in the area. I am so glad I finally went in! I can't believe I passed this place up for so long cause its now my new favorite lunch spot. The sandwich menu is really extensive, it took me forever to decide but when I did, boy was I impressed! The bread was really fresh and I loved how they put crunchy coleslaw in my particular sandwich, it was so unique and yummy and Im not usually a coleslaw fan. The whole thing was tasty and not run of the mill. I had one the Italian desserts too which was super yummy, leading me to believe that the Italian menu items are really where its at. Thumbs up!
Very nice food, friendly customer service – I was at La Strada about two weeks ago, and have been back at least 3 times since then..The first time, I ordered to go and had their Lasagna..It was probably one of the best I have ever had! So I decided to go back for more and tried one of their sandwiches, the Barrington Court ( i tought, since I am in Brentwood, it must be good!). It was delicious, once again! I decided to make this my local spot for lunch and take out dinners, the staff is really friendly and the place is always busy...A great find!
terrible quality, made me sick – i had the wilshire roast beef sandwich the other day, and i had water coming out my rear later. the service was good, but the quality is very poor. the bread was stale and the meat was not very fresh, a little slimy in fact. i would recomend vicente foods, the deli at their supermarket. those are the best sandwiches in this area.
F-O-R-E-V-E-R wait time for mediocre sandwich – I had never been to La Strada before and it seemed like a great place so I thought I would stop by really quick and pick up a sandwich. First I called a few times and received an automated message saying they were busy. I finally got through to place my order over the phone and the guy told me he was busy and to call back in a half hour. That was a sign because little did I know I would walk out 1 hour later (I'm not exaggerating) with a sandwich that ended up being pretty expensive, small in size, and mediocre in taste. The service was super slow and unorganized, and the employees seemed more confused than me and the other 8 people in line were with their orders. The place wasn't as "cute" as people described it and definitely not as tasty. I don't usually review restaurants but I was so irritated I felt compelled to share my unfavorable opinion of La Strada.
The Best Italian Panini! – I had lunch at La Strada last month and, I have to say, their Panini selection is amazing! My wife had a Gorgonzola and Roast Beef special and I had a Panini called Via Palermo, with Prosciutto di Parma and Imported italian mozzarella..It was delicious, it rreally felt like being in some lunch spot in Italy!!Now we can't get enough of this place! No need to say that having an italian owner really makes a difference...
Excellent Italian deli and classic American lunch fare – I have the priviliage of living down the block from this little find. Owned by a young Italian couple, they have really brought a nice Italian flair to the restaurant since they took it over about a year and half ago. They offer very fresh selections, as well as the classic wall menu that's always been here. The service is always great. While they don't have a lot of room to sit and eat, it's perfect for grabbing a sandwich on the run. Don't miss the fresh made deli salads!
phenomenal cheesecake! – you have to try their cheesecake! amazing. the staff are very friendly and i like the Italian atmosphere. Too bad I work in the valley. otherwise this would be my regular lunchspot.
Great local lunch spot! – I rediscovered this place after recent change in ownership and I must admit, it's definitely change for the better. The Italian additions to the menu are great!I personally became a big fan of paninis..Their Italian coffee is great too, in fact i stopped going to the Starbucks next door.
Homey Italian atmosphere, great food, something for everyone.
