Editorial Review for Hyde – by Michael Martin
In Short
Located in the old North space, but far-dressier than its predecessor, the first-floor lounge features leather and crocodile-trimmed upholstery with oversized Monkeywood tables. Under a pounded-copper ceiling, flickering candles suspended from the walls add an elegant touch. The bar offers a small plates menu of Asian fusion dishes, ranging from inventive sushi rolls to salmon sashimi. A simple DJ booth, dressed-up with Mac-mixing machine and heavy tech-equipment, features rotating rock DJs catering to A-listers like Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoFridays and Saturdays features lengthy guest lists--try for a bottle service reservation or expect a hefty wait since the club only accommodates about 100 people. It's a little easier to get in on weekdays.
ParkingWeekends offer a packed parking lot and jammed valet--try across the street at 8000 Sunset. Note that the gates close promptly at 2am.
What to DrinkNot limited to just fancy vodkas or champagnes, bottle service can include vintage selections of Scotch or gin. There are nightly cocktail specials as well.

OK let’s be honest 80% of the people reading this probably won’t get in. (and 80% is a generous number) You have to be a Celebrity or know someone who knows someone who knows someone and even in that case you might not get in be cause you know too many people...lol. The place is known for turning everyone away including Celeb’s. I recommend you bring CASH, because cash is KING, and from the other reviews this place has a problem with handling Credit Cards. I Absolutely LOVED the Bartenders Both of them. The drinks were good, they said that Monday is a good night to go. So maybe I'll check it out on a Monday I went on Wednesday, (It’s a hiit or miss) This night was a miss, Sometimes Hyde has a nice crowd on Wednesday so I hear, Well this was the night of a concert so a lot of people were buzzing around the Wood. Before going to Hyde I was at the Roosevelt/ Tropicana (check out my Tropicana review) so we got to Hyde around 1am where some friends were. It was not that difficult to get in. The Decor is Great, (BRAVA!) It is small or cozy (which every you prefer) This is NOT the type of club you go to DANCE!! Everyone’s nose is in the air and they might look at you like you are crazy if you bust a move. OH Yeah NO Cameras so keepem locked up.
Pros: Chill Place, GREAT Bartenders
Cons: You have to buy a table

I thought Hyde would be like entering another galaxy but it is really not. The place is small and crowded and the people were not the prettiest. Don't go if you are not on a list or have a table. Saw DJ Am but that was it. More to the name than to the place.
Pros: It is Hyde.
Cons: Foreign rich people that don't speak english.
