Do not go to Hyde. Our friend was the DJ for the night on saturday 9-12-09. We drove 2 hours to get out to hollywood to come see him. Upon being met at the door we were not allowed in of course because we didnt have enough women. So we called the DJ WHO CAME OUT TO THE DOOR and this do*chebag doorman BRIAN still wouldnt let us in. Everything would have been fine if this guy wasn't such a cocky di** to us upon trying to enter. I was seconds from walking this pu$$y to street and knocking his bit*h @ss out. To be honest didn't see one attractive woman walk into the club anyway and wouldn't have come in if it wasn't for our friend DJing. We ended up going down the street to Saddleranch where we were welcomed to the bar with a tall bud light and a free shot from a beautiful bartender. Wouldn't recommend the place to anyone from what I saw from the door.

Major Let Down. Door staff have the usual bullsh*t attitude - guy actually rolled his eyes in disgust when he was made to let us in - tiny space - great DJ but no room to dance - clientèle too cool to dance anyway - bottle purchases are announced with whooping and blinding flares - discretion and good taste are not known concepts here - the worst kind of nouveau-riche pseudo-celebrity posing - left after 45 minutes shaking head in disbelief - another LA example of a crappy club built on great PR.

I love LA. Well I'm always on the list that's easy, but having a dramafree night is the hard part. Many shipwrecked a-listers "hyding" out there and spewing trouble. The fashion is to die for of course and so are the bartenders!!

Always fun. I?ve always had fun at hyde? it really isn?t THAT hard to get into so long as you play by the rules? girls bring other hot girls? guys be good looking and pop a bottle. The candles really add character to the place. The crowd is mostly fashionable rich tourists and scenester patrons (not a bad thing). Everyone has a table/ bottle service. After a few years you will still find yourself in the patio chattin? next to your favorite TMZ star. The bartenders are phenomenally hot and utilize fresh ingredients too! i promote this club on certain hot nights. Why are A Listers so boring?. I love checking out new places especially when the art and design inside are over the top. But for some reason the people who get attracted to these places are no deeper than statues at a wax museum. Hyde is one of those places. The space, service and ambiance just get wasted by the clientele! SBE has some great places though. Kudos to the design work its beautiful inside. and the music is at least better than at the Villa. I guess it's very hard to make a lot of money and have really cool people at the same time. But LA's underground scene wants to keep the jokers in places like Hyde to ensure they don't crowd our vibe.

cute!. haha i read down there, foreign rich ppl..TRUE! i went one night with my foreign friends- they had a table so idk how we got in.. but the music was mos def the best part. its very small too, intimate. the drinks were tasty.. they had a drink with watermelon crushed at the bottom.. YUM.

Maybe another Night. OK let?s be honest 80% of the people reading this probably won?t get in. (and 80% is a generous number)

You have to be a Celebrity or know someone who knows someone who knows someone and even in that case you might not get in be cause you know too many people...lol. The place is known for turning everyone away including Celeb?s. I recommend you bring CASH, because cash is KING, and from the other reviews this place has a problem with handling Credit Cards. I Absolutely LOVED the Bartenders Both of them.The drinks were good, they said that Monday is a good night to go. So maybe I'll check it out on a Monday

I went on Wednesday, (It?s a hiit or miss) This night was a miss, Sometimes Hyde has a nice crowd on Wednesday so I hear, Well this was the night of a concert so a lot of people were buzzing around the Wood. Before going to Hyde I was at the Roosevelt/ Tropicana (check out my Tropicana review) so we got to Hyde around 1am where some friends were. It was not that difficult to get in. The Decor is Great, (BRAVA!) It is small or cozy (which every you prefer)

This is NOT the type of club you go to DANCE!! Everyone?s nose is in the air and they might look at you like you are crazy if you bust a move. OH Yeah NO Cameras so keepem locked up.
