great help, liked guidbook, recommend highly
Go LA Card - Downer!. Luckily was fortunate to about break even on the card, as I picked it up on sale, and purchased it for the 7 of us. BIG downer is that you are HIGHLY disadvantaged and deprioritized if you plan on using it for a city or tour of the star's homes at LA City Tours. Very deceptive! That is the main reason I bought the card, because the tour looked attractive, and savings looked significant. However, what you are not told is that you cannot reserve the star home's tour IF YOU HAVE A GO LA CARD. You are told to show up the day you want, as we did 2 hours berfore the tour, when the office opened, and we were told the tour was booked/filled, and to check back later, or the next day, as they are very busy in the summer. That "is the deal they have with the GO LA Card". WHAT A SCAM! We had a very busy schedule, and there was little room for rearrangement of our itinerary. My advice, go 2 blocks down the street, and use Hollywood Sightseeing, openbustours(dot)com, nicer people, and better tour, anyway. We just paid the extra money, so we could do the tour of the star's homes. We were told this happens a lot, and we saw other unfortunate folks trying to arrange plan B or C, while at LA City Tours. Other than that, the card worked well. It worked well at Universal, Huntington Gardens, Santa Monica Pier, and Paramount. Our last day there we planned on using it for Madame Toussad's, and it closed 90 minutes early for a private party, so we lost money on the deal. We travel a lot, and this is the first time I have ever written a review, because the word needs to get out on this one!
Awesome way to sightsee in LA. We got Go LA Cards last time we came in town to visit - I'm normally not into attractions but this was fun and an incredible deal! We were able to take a city tour, ride bikes in Griffith Park, check out Universal Studios and Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, and stop into the museums along Hollywood Blvd. We figured we saved over $120 in admission fees and the best part is that we didn't have a set schedule to follow. Highly recommend...!
Editorial Review. Tourist-friendly card includes unlimited admission to Los Angeles attractions and tours, plus discounts on dining and shopping.
Went to Universal Studios with the go los angeles card--great time. I had soooooo much fun using this card in LA. I just got back two days ago and used the card to go to Universal Studios, a Hollywood tour by starline sightseeing and also used the card to see the Kodak Theater and the aquariuM!!!!! it was fun to just flash my card, scan it then go on into the attraction. I also liked the guidbook that came with the card --i needed a number to call the place I was going and it was already in the book. A great help, and fun!
