Fashion students learn to run a retail shop and savvy shoppers benefit with incredible reductions on donated clothes and jewelry..
The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising runs this shop to give students a place to learn retail and management practices while generating cash for its scholarship program. Hundreds of retailers and manufacturers donate damaged, sample and outdated items which are offered for prices as low as $1 (bags of buttons, imperfect jeans). Wedding dresses are $50, swimsuits $5, and more great deals on designer items just needing some TLC. New items arrive constantly.
