I first met Mike as a student in his Ballet class - yes, real ballet, not some trumped up, pseudo-funkified, pilates-yoga-ballet hybrid taught by someone who took a few jazz classes in high school this is the real thing, taught by a real dancer. (Note to reader: Mike may be the only funny, handsome, straight, ballet teacher in Los Angeles. Ladiesline up.) Modest about his background, Mike will never tell you about the grueling years he spent with professional ballet companies, but if you ask, his stories are hysterical. His ballet training is evident, however, once he gets you in the gym. Like any well-trained athlete, Mike has an innate sense of physiology and movement that allows him to quickly assess your body and the way you carry it to determine a workout that is best for you. Once I was ready to move from the barre to barbells, I joined my husband and began training with Mike. He had an instantaneous read on our different needs has developed a constantly evolving repertoire that has kept us fit, entertained and motivated. If you are ready to workout with a real athlete, not a gymrat, Mike is your man. Dont be afraid to mix it up either. Mikes ballet class is as accessible to the newbie as it is to Nureyev.

Being a runner for years, I came to Mike over 2 years ago because my body just was not changing any more. He took one look at me during our first meeting and knew exactly what I needed. Here it is over 2 years later and my body is still changing because Mike mixes it up and the workouts are never the same. He knows without you having to say anything when he needs to change your program, he knows when and when not to push you, he is always informed on the newest and latest in the fitness world, and he pays 110% attention to you and only you during your work outs. I love going to him because I know afterwards I am going to feel good, I am going to get a great work out, and I am one step closer to looking and maintaining the look I want. You will be more than satisfied after investing your time into Mike and allowing him to do what he knows best, training, exercise, and nutrition. It is the best investment I have ever made in myself.

I've been working with Mike for a couple of years and I'm very happy with the results. He works you hard but he keeps it fun and interesting, and it's definitely a worthwhile work-out. He tailors what he does to your needs and goals (weight loss, bulking up, etc), and always has great nutrition tips. All in all a really great trainer -- highly recommended. Also a sweetheart of a guy.
- Pros: Keeps things interesting, motivates you, but still works you hard.
- Cons: No real downsides. All around great experience, great guy, great value.
