Recommendation for Dr. Taheri / Westwood Derm.. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Taheri. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about his field (up-to-date on the latest treatments- laser, peels, products) he is very friendly and really listens to you/your concerns. He spends time understanding your needs and then tailors his recommendations for your specific needs. I have never felt pressured to buy anything or do anything but I did follow his recommendations and the result is that my skin looks better than it ever has in my adult life.

Friendly staff, clean office with easy parking, easy to make appointments, works easily with insurance. Overall, always a great experience.

Wonderful Dr and Staff. I have been going to Dr. Taheri for about 3 years and he is fantastic! His staff is friendly and accommodating. His Westwood office is extra nice because of the free street parking. Dr Taheri is very caring and professional. He works well with your insurance too.

Great Dermatologist!. Dr. Taheri and his team are fantastic. I have suffered with acne problems nearly all my life, other dermatologists simply could not fix it. Dr. Taheri cleared my skin in a month. In addition, he is a very proactive doctor when it comes to skin cancer. I especially appreciate this because it runs in my family. I recommend him and his office to everyone. The nurses are very compassionate and caring, Ashley is great for micro, and the office staff are fantastic!

The best dermatologist ever!. Dr.Taheri truly changed my life and gave me the confidence to feel beautiful inside out. He was effective and precise in his treatment and gave me solutions to take care of the pigmentation. When I first went to him I had face full of Acne. He started me on chemicals peels and Microderms. My skin had never looked better before. I have recommed all my friends to go to him and they all love him. One by one I saw how he changed the faces and lives of my friends. He is the best.

Long time Client. I have been going to Dr. Taheri for about 5 -6 years now and have seen my skin transform. I use to have problematic skin and now it is the clearest it's ever been. I get the once a month microdermabrasion and peel which has helped my skin tremendously. I have referred several friends who also love the treatments.

Great Results. My skin looks healthy again.. I also felt I was "burned" at first but I Googled the "laser skin treatment side effects" and I learned that it is normal. Don't be so hard on Doctor Taheri, educate yourself on the process first, then make a judgement.

If your laser skin resurfacing treatment is done by a reputable surgeon there are usually few complications due to the laser therapy itself. However, everyone’s skin responds differently and there is a small risk of burning or marks from the heat of the laser, unwanted scarring, and pigmentation changes - either darkening or lightening of the skin. Rarely, laser treatment can set off a cold sore by reactivating the herpes virus that is dormant in the facial nerves.



After laser skin treatment there will be some mild swelling in the face, which may be uncomfortable for a time. Ice packs can help and mild painkillers such as paracetamol are all that’s usually required to keep the discomfort at bay. The skin will blister and scabs after treatment, and there is always a risk of infection, although an antibiotic ointment is used in the first few days to minimize the risk. Skin crusts need to be left alone and never picked off. They will come loose from the skin by themselves after about ten days, revealing new pink skin underneath.



The skin remains pink or even red for a few weeks after laser skin resurfacing, and ointments or creams will be provided by the surgeon to help these subside quickly. They may persist for up to six months in some people – but after three weeks concealing make up can be applied without damaging the skin.



The new skin is very susceptible to sun damage, which can cause burns and permanent pigmentation changes. Sunbathing must be avoided for at least six months, and if you have to go outside during a sunny day, the advice is to wear a sun visor or hat with a large brim, and to thoroughly cover your face with a high factor sun block – factor twenty-five at the very minimum.

Excellent cosmetic dermatologist. Dr Taheri is a very talented cosmetic dermatologist. I went to his office only wanting restylane in my upper lip, but he suggested some botox around my eyes and a chemical peel. I was THRILLED with the results. I have never looked better. I don't think he is just money hungry, but he has a good eye and isn't afraid to tell you what he thinks will help you most. He wasn't a hard sell. I did not feel pressured to do any of the procedures that he suggested. I will definitely be going back to see him again, and many of my coworkers and family members are seeing him now also.

vbeam. Great experience going to Dr Taheri's office last week.

Did my research on the v-beam lazer before. I found average cost is 300$ a treatment and it takes on average 5-8 treatments for moderate rosacea.

I was diagnosed by another derm with rosacea mild/moderate. I ofcourse deem it AWFUL!! Dr Taheri impressed me and was professional. Starting with his staff, others who have spoken of negative experiences could not be talking about the girls in Valencia cause they were friendly and organized.

So there i am excited to get the v-beam, I waited 4 mins after i filled out the first time client stuff. Once in the room waited maybe another 4 mins til he came in. The girl who brought me to the room said that Dr Taheri will want to give the initial consult before a decision on v-beam. He came in and he was very relaxed not pushy. he looked at my skin and called my rocesea mild , talked about what treatments i have used, he approved of the two gels i use and said the v-beam will infact help me. YES! He did the treatment himself and walked me through it, what to expect, that each person has a level of treatment to be used and he'd start on a low setting to see how my skin responds, he even said " ok i will start here", and checked on me asking if i was doing alright a few times. we talked throughout the 15 mins of treatment, him answering questions i had, and joking. After the treatment i asked him how many treatments I will need, remember i already did my home work. He said i would most likely need 4 or 5.~ geesh he has a client willing to do 8! Plus He only charges 250$. And OFCOURSE he is going to talk about lazers he specializes in lazers thats why i picked him!

I talked with him for another 5min after the treatment. He was not in a hurry to leave and I was actually the first one to take a step towards the door. That night, as he explained, i felt like i had a sun burn and the next day had some swelling, day 3 look great and see a difference. I'm excited to go back.

RE: Dr Taheri. The first two times I visted the office I was pleased. During my recent visit the young ladies

who work the front desk were unorganized. I was told that my insurance card would be accepted.

After I entered the room to have the treatment done. I was told by another assistant that the card would not be accepted. I wish I had been told when I arrived and not left waiting. The assistant who applied the peel to my face was rude. If I am paying for service I would hope to receive assistance from someone who is pleasant. The previous young ladies who assisted me were wonderful! If any of these ladies came to my office I would treat them in a courteous manner. Some of the ;adies at the front desk should enroll in a diversity training course, and a customer service course. I will never return to Dr. Taheri's office again, i will

seek treatment with another facility.
