Supreme quality Sushi at an affordable price.. If you can tell the differences of Sushi qualities between High-End restaurant such as Matsuhisa and ordinary pre-packaged sushi selling at groceries store, you will be amazed at Sushi Don's incredible fish and sushi quality. Very reasonable prices for excellent sushi. Try it !!!

Best cheap sushi in town. That Alexandra the great reviewer is clearly a crackhead. Every time I've been here, its been clean, smell-free and delicious. Jimmy is super friendly, the fish is high quality. I think I'll head over right after work. Someone has always got to knock the good stuff.

It Smells!!!!. How can anyone leave a positive review for this place? The second you step inside, a horrible fishy odor hits you in the face ? it?s a mix of old food and leaking refrigerator. I have not been to any other sushi place that smells this awful! Needless to say, I did not have any desire to try any of that smelly stuff and just turned around and walked away!

BEST SUSHI EVER!!. This sushi restaurant is a real find. The owner, Jimmy, is intent on making your meal a real delight. The fish is always excellent and fresh, the best I've ever had! The rice is warm, the salads are crisp and fresh, and you can add sashimi. The sushi and rolls are unbelievable, especially the spicy yellowtail!! Jimmy makes homemade wasabi, ponsu and soy sauce!! Service is fast and friendly. Prices are extra reasonable. The atomosphere is casual. There is no doubt that Jimmy takes a great deal of pride in his restaurant, and the food and service reflect all of that care. I can't say enough about this restaurant!!!

Simple sushi, great price. I was looking for a fast, reasonable place for takeout in SFV, and struck gold here! Very fresh, very good sushi for a reasonable price. Simple menu, not a lot of choices, but 5 or 6 different rolls. If they have what you like, you will come back again and again! Good service, fast and pleasant - you'll be in and out in 10 minutes!

Wrong Working Hour Information. On Friday evening, I was trying to find some affordable sushi place. I found this place and like it. But, it was about 8pm and the working hour is until 9pm. Living in Culver City, I hurried and got there 8:30pm. I found it closed... what's this wrong information!

best sushi, best service, no crowds or long lines. My boyfriend and I were introduced to Sushi Don two years ago from another die-hard Sushi Don-er. Since then, we've been coming back every Saturday from Westlake Village for a fresh sushi meal with decent prices. The food and service is consistent. We recommend the Combo B with either the spicy tuna cut roll or the yellow tail hand roll. Oh, also, if you're into green tea, we recommend the green tea with boba -- a refreshing take at a boba drink without all of the sugar. This place is great for vegetarians too -- try the green salad with avocados or the edammame. Sometimes Jimmy will post seasonal specials on the boards, or you can ask him about specials. If you're looking for a fresh, clean eating environment with great sushi and awesome service, we recommend Sushi Don. Give it a try, you'll love it, we promise!

Freshest fish we have had outside of Japan for the Price. My husband and I have sushi about 4 times a week, and we are pretty picky about the places we go to. We have a sushi restaurant for every occasion. Sushi Don is where we go when we want incredible fish quality and the perfect amount to fill us up but not make us stuffed at a decent price. The only other place we go to that has fish that is comparable is Sushi Nozawa and that is $$$$$, so to know that you can have supreme quality as well as affordablity is excellent.

James (i believe), the owner, is incredibly nice. We highly recommend the CRAB HAND ROLL. We have not had it shredded like that anywhere else and sometimes pass the store and get one to go.

This place is great, defintely worth trying out.

best sushi with the best prices. Sushi Don is one of the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. I recommend the spicy tuna. the spicy tuna isn't that spicy so the kids will love it, and if you want it spicy just ask to get a very spicy tuna. some people even ask for super spicy tuna. and the first time I tried real crab aka blue crab I was suprised. most restaurants use imitation crab so it tasted wierd at first, but when they told me that it was real crab and recommended ponzu (soy sause with lemon) it tasted really great.

Pros: fast, tastes great, good mood, delightful smiles

Cons: to tell you the truth I really don't like the green walls. I think the walls should be a mix of blue and light blue

Great Sushi For The Price. The sushi is very good and affordable. The location is convenient as well. I reccomend Sushi Don to any avid fan of sushi.
