In Short – Elegant Biltmore stylishness combines with a hip downtown arts vibe in this lively hangout for downtown loft dwellers and after-work wine enthusiasts. High burgundy walls, glowing lamps and a fireplace add warmth. Patrons sit at the bar, on buttery suede chairs, or at intimate sidewalk tables, with live lounge or jazz as the musical backdrop. The menu specializes in South African and Chilean varietals, along with small plates and cafe fare like Caesar salad, seared beef onglet steak and paninis.

This place is at the height of cool lets face it i can't even drink yet but i still love it. NOT to be bias but my dad and stepmom are co-owners also with Jakie Pratt, but even if i didn't know most of the staff closely and the owners very closely id still adore this place because the atmosphere is great the service i wonderful ( i know i use to wait some of the tables). And the owners run a smooth ship trust me.As a 13 year old i say this place is VICIOUS as we say today.
- Pros: the decor is matchless it just beautiful!!
- Cons: im to young to drink

A block from home, this place is very convenient for us. Not being a wine aficionado, we put off stopping by until last month. We have been three times since, this place is so comfortable and has a really great vibe makes you want to go every night. Looks to be a family-run business and they are all very friendly and warm. The wine selection is very large and they also have a small but decent beer offering. The plates are small but just right if you are just looking for something to nibble on while drinking.
- Pros: atmosphere
Great wine list (and beers), wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere!

I heard about this new wine bar downtown and decided to give it a try. While I know downtown is growing by leaps and bounds, I didn't want to be disappointed so I kept my expectations low. Boy was I wrong!! Raise those expectations and GO to 626 Reserve in downtown L.A. As soon as I walked in the atmosphere and soft jazz music was incredibly soothing. Then I saw the wine list and couldn't decide where to start. Finally I sent with a wonderful an Argentinian Malbec then moved on to a Chilian Cabernet ended with an amazing California Zinfindel. I was in wine heaven. To top it off, I had their Maryland Crabcakes (YUMMM).. big chunks of crab meat and a delightful sauce. My waiter talked me into trying the "homemade peach cobbler" for desert. What a treat. I can not say enough about 626 Reserve. Unlike so many other bars there was no TV, so everyone was actually having a conversation..imagine! I noticed even the single people at the bar seemed to be sharing notes on the wine and food. Everyone seemed so relaxed. I understand they even have live jazz on Tuesday nights and soon they will start Sunday afternoon wine tasting... I'm there! If you haven't been to downtown in a while, it's time to go back and see what 626 Reserve has to offer.
- Pros: Wine list, Beers from around the world, Great food
- Cons: Valet would be nice but there were a couple of parking lots right across the street
