The BEST in the business!!!

All I can say is that this is my *go-to* place for great sports massages. As a pretty hard core athlete, I do about 8 different sports including some on a highly competitive level: open water and pool swimming; biking; running; rollerblading; kayaking, triathlon; yoga (bikram)). Needless to say, I'm tough on my body.
After moving to LA a year ago, I discovered LA Sports Massage.
I am VERY particular with the trainers I use to keep me healthy, happy, functional, competitive and pain free for all my sports. I really can't say enough positive things about this place. For me, it's convenient to my home as I'm in Marina Del Rey but more importantly, the therapists there KNOW their stuff. I prefer ACT (Active Release Therapy) in addition to the usual deep tissue massage and Mike is fantastic in terms of using this technique. He's also an avid sports enthusiast and was really helpful in fixing me up during rotator cuff overuse issues (due to swimming - my longest event was a 25K or 15.5 MI OW swim) and a heel spur due to lots of running. Although I will say that when I can't see Mike due to my schedule, all of the other therapists I've had here were great as well. I've only had top-notch massages here.
It's also very easy to get in to see someone ASAP. This is a huge bonus for me as a busy athlete with a tight schedule.
I highly recommend LA Sports Massage and I continue to go here regularly!
World's Best Sports Massage!

I am in love with LA Sports Massage! I'm a runner and have been going there for a year and some change. I had a bad knee injury about a year ago and because of LA Sports Massage, I was able to cross the finish line of a half marathon I had been training for! I couldn't have done it without them. Jason is my guy and he is truly amazing! He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and talented. He always makes me feel comfortable and I love that he tells me what he's doing and what he feels every step of the way. He breaks it all down for you and makes sure I understand what he's doing. It always amazes me how he can get to the source of the problem and knows exactly what to do for it! As an athlete with all sorts of aches and pains associated with my sport, I would never go anywhere else! I trust LA Sports Massage completely and am always greeted with a smile upon my arrival. They are truly the best!
Excellent sports massage!

I had a great sports massage here two days ago with Kristen - I'm really impressed! I have had shoulder and calf/achilles problems for awhile and despite getting massages every 2-4 weeks, I haven't been able to loosen up and not feel injured. After my massage at LA Sports Massage I've been feeling SO much better! Kristen was able to loosen and relieve a lot of the knots I've had in my neck and shoulders as a result of swimming for years and my achilles hasn't been as painful when I walk or run. I left feeling like a brand new person!
I highly recommend coming here for a good recover sports massage. Kristen was awesome and Dennis (who I think may be the owner?) seemed really cool and seemed to have a lot of knowledge too.
I will definitely be coming back soon!
Worth Your Time

I decided to make an appointment on a Friday night so I called expecting the answering machine and to maybe hear back the next day. Dennis picked up at 11:30pm on a Friday night! He was super nice and made an appointment for me the next day. (I hope I don't encourage everyone to do this as I'm sure he doesn't need calls at all hours). The massage with Kristin was great. You could tell she knew how to target the problem areas. I went in to address my overworked arms from being at a desk (been dealing with it for 2 years), plantar fasciitis, and hips/lower abs. The hips/abs are almost completely pain free after one session. I think I've noticed improvements in my arms and feet, but will need more time to tell. I definitely plan on going back.
So glad I found them!

I have been having calf muscle pains from over-exercising and I couldn't go to a physical therapist anymore because my insurance won't authorize me. Dennis and his team helped tremendously with their massages and educated me what's happening to my muscles and future preventative measures. They are very friendly and very eager to help. I always feel better after my 30 minute massage and have been going continuously to fully recover.
