Chicken and waffles and so much more.. I recently had lunch with a friend at Miss Peaches in North Hollywood. Its a cute charming place with a really friendly staff. We both ordered chicken and waffles and shared some of the gooey butter cake, which tasted like a fluffy cheese cake. There were plenty of other things on the menu I would like to try so I will be back. Also, they have an area where you can sit outside.

Delicious Southern done vegetarian style!. I actually found this place while looking through CitySearch one day for a veg friendly place in NoHo. I never imagined I would find it in a Southern BBQ joint! Miss Peaches has BBQ for sure and I have heard it is amazing. But what drew me was the vegetarian side dishes! In fact all of the side dishes are made vegetarian style- including the collard greens and bakes beans. The flavors are amazing and well balanced- not too sweet or salty. The corn bread is crispy and slightly sweet, served hot and plentiful. You will not believe these sides are truly vegetarian but they are! Just ask the owner- he is the cook as well!

Memories of Home. As 2009 ends, I wanted to say that one of my highlights for the year was finding Miss Peaches. I try to get there once or twice a week for all the down home cooking I miss from my childhood.

Everything I have tried on the menu is fantastic. I especially like the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. Another favorite meal is the 4 veggie combo. The mac & cheese is like no other.

I ordered a gooey butter cake for Thanksgiving and everyone raved about it. I can't say enough about how wonderful the food is and everyone I take for lunch goes back on their own. Umm Umm Good!!!

Makes me feel right at home!. SO...I was talking about being homesick and one of my friends suggested I visit Miss Peaches. Well...I have been here twice and am in LOVE!! Originally from Arkansas, it is hard to find good southern cooking out here...but I definitely found it at Miss Peaches. It feels like you are sitting in your momma's kitchen and you can't beat the sweet tea in mason jars!! Everything I have had is delicious. My favorites are the fried catfish (w/ plenty of hot sauce), string beans and the yams!! Oh and the cornbread muffins are great! The Red Velvet cake is WONDERFUL but nothing compares to the Gooey Butter cake!! SOOOO YUMMMMY!! Will definitely be back again...again....and again!!!

Yummmmmm!. I had the catfish, greens, yams, and wow the desserts. Everything was amazing. We split the gooey butter cake and red velvet cake and I can't decide which was better. Will definitely go back!

What a find!. I just moved to North Hollywood from Oklahoma six months ago. Where I come from, there is no shortage of amazing barbeque, mouth-watering catfish, and one of the best soul food restaurants in the state is six blocks from where I grew up. This place is right up there with Kin Folks in Tulsa! We were looking for a place with fried chicken in our area, and we did a google search. Found these reviews and decided to try it! What a find! I had the Fried Chicken and my special lady-friend had the catsfish, which was the best thing at the table. The cornbread was also amazing. Aside from the food being great, the atmoshpere of the place is perfect. So small, there's nothing seperating the seating from the kitchen. The man who took care of us was so cool and friendly. It seriously felt like a small place you'd find back home and tell all your friends. Not like L.A. Cute and laid-back. And the prices were more than fair. It was a great experience and I will be going back soon.

Delicious Southern Cooking. I'm from the south and my grandmother was an amazing cook. I would have to say Miss Peaches is by far the best Southern cooking I have tasted since coming out west. Their fried chicken was not to greasy, the greens and mashed potatoes were very tasty!

The owner is a big ray of "Sunshine"! He makes all of the desserts and they are amazing!! I had the Peach Cobbler and took a slice of the Red Velvet Cake to go.

Very warm atmosphere.....Just like home!

Best Sock it To Me Cake in Town. I love Miss Peaches fried catfish and chicken wings, and I loved the collard greens and yams, but when it came to the desserts, omg... the sock it to me cake is to die for. It is the best cake I have ever had! It makes you want to have dessert first then your entree.

Wifey and I love it.. Great cornbread but best part is the yams. Make sure you get that as one of your sides. The classic sides are greens and black eyed peas which they do perfectly. The meatloaf is perfect. I also like that I can see the whole kitchen from the dining area. Only a real fastidious crew dares to cook under those circumstances. JB

Healthy Southern Cooking. The main courses are just like your mother used to make, but the sides are all made without meat. This makes for a healthier meal yet the flavor does not suffer, in fact it might even be better. You can bring your vegetarian friends because there is a choice of ordering just the meat free sides with his wonderful cornbread. The decadent desserts are made on site by the owner, the only problem trying to not order them all.

The owner makes you feel as if you are sitting in his kitchen. It is like being invited to a party in his home hanging out with new friends. The restaurant is small and homey and a place I want to go to again and again.
