Interesting and fun place to shop for furniture... They have bargains in used hotel furniture, but they also have plenty of brand new stuff. Good deals and things you might not find elsewhere... I found a new leather sofa here, even though I had no idea that they carried this type of inventory. A pleasant surprise!

Cool spot...now has new stuff too. I shopped at their old store before and found some nice things at good prices, but it was mostly hotel stuff and it was hit and miss. They recently moved to a much bigger and nicer place on Saticoy street, and they seem to have expanded their selection, so they now have a bunch of cool new stuff which seems to be at really good prices compared to typical retail.

Its really a fun place to shop because they have so much stuff in stock.. I bought a couple of cheap pieces of hotel art at $10 each for the frames, but we also got a really great modern console for about $100 less than I had seen it at Plummers..

great store. I have never posted something like this before because most stores don't inspire the loyalty that they do. I merely forgot their address and was looking it up and when I read the post had to write something. I'm not sure what kalee2004 is talking about I’ve been going to the store for years. They do specialize in "one-of-a-kinds, close-outs, hotel liquidations" so to have the expectation that they will be like crate and barrel and keep everything in stock is silly. If they did 1st it wouldn't be an outlet 2nd they would have deals.

I have found the staff at hotel surplus to be welcoming and always looking to make a deal. I really enjoy shopping with them and have walked away with great furniture and art. They are a lovely family owned store and have an ever changing inventory that is part of the fun. You never know what you will find. If you are looking fore quality furniture at good prices then you will enjoy their store

Some Nice Deals and Cool Bargains.. I like Hotel Surplus Outlet for furniture bargain hunting. They often have some interesting things and nice buys, but the inventory changes, so you need to be patient if you are looking for something specific..... Their selection seems to depend on what they happen to be liquidating at any point in time.

On my last trip to Hotel Surplus Outlet they had some great pieces from some hotels, but they also had some new overstock and close-out stuff at good prices. I have bought very nice hotel items that have been cleaned up and moved directly to a client's home, but I also have bought chairs which needed to be touched up and reupholstered for low prices. After spending some money on re-upholstery and renovation I ended up with fancy seating that would have cost me far more if I bought it at a showroom or ordered it. If you are a creative buyer or a decorator who knows what to look for you can find yourself some interesting buys here.

They have a wide variety of things that seem to come and go. It is one of those places that you need to check out from time to time if you are on the look-out for something special. I am on their email list so they send me notice when they get new arrivals or special sales. It can be inconsistent in in their selections....but I have found Hotel Surplus to be a highly worthwhile shopping destination.

Great Place for Bargain Hunters and Creative Furniture Shoppers. I am a home stager, and I have been shopping at Hotel Surplus for many years. I have found a ton of great items. If you know how to think creatively and shop for bargains you can find a wealth of cool items. Their stuff varies since it comes from hotels, but they usually have a nice group of bargains. Even if I do not find something, I keep coming back since it seems that they get incoming loads all of the time. They have been getting some nice buys on new stuff too, but this is usually odd lots and overstock stuff. It is sort of an eclectic mix.

Just for the record, I think that the previous reviewer on this site is way off base, and must be exaggerating. Their site might not show some of the goods, but usually I get deals for far less than the prices posted on the website, which is exactly the opposite of what the previous poster says.

This place may not be for everyone, but for the astute shopper and bargain hunter it is a great resource.

Hotel Surplus Outlet - Very Disappointing!!!. I have been to this store several times. They rarely have what is advertised on their website and I found their prices to be hundreds of dollars more than what they advertise on the website. When questioned about their inventory and their prices, they claim that they purchase one-of-a-kinds, close-outs, hotel liquidations, etc. Very disappointing!!!
