Inside, families and couples at large booths and tables feast on mesquite-grilled BBQ in a modern, earth-toned setting. Slow-roasted meats, such as baby-back ribs and chicken, dominate the moderately-priced menu, but crowd-pleasers also include the 15-ounce Kansas City Strip, freshwater Idaho trout and balsamic shrimp. If that doesn't trip the trigger, Certified Angus Beef burgers and mile-high salads are other options.

MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!

WOW! Tonight was my first time at Wood Ranch and I will deifnitely be back! The staff is soo friendly (a rare thing these days) and our waiter went out of his way to make sure we had a great dining experience. I ordered the BBQ chicken...for $14.00 you get half of a whole chicken with the most delicious (home made on the spot) BBQ sauce! They cook the chickens for 13 hours or something like that and let me tell you, it fell off the bone! You also get your choice of 2 sides, generously sized. The cole slaw is to die for! They use a light vinegar based dressing which is not as heavy as mayo. My mom ordered the Tri Tip and the thing was huge! I tried some, it was the most soft tender meat...mmm. Honestly, I have to say this is the best steak house I have been to. Although it is a chain, you would never know. The atmosphere is gorgeous and it's a million times better than Black Angus (ew.). Try it, you'll love it!!
- Pros: EXCELLENT wait staff, beautiful decorating, GOOD FOOD!
- Cons: Can get a bit pricey but it's a steak house what do you expect?

Tri Tip Totally Blew Me Away

I am a steak guy. When we got to Woodranch, my buddies and I wanted red meat. I got the ribeye and it was excellent. But I'll tell you what. For the money you're going to spend on a steak here, you will get a lot more if you order the Tri Tip. It's unbelievably good. Don't get me wrong, the steak was excelent, but it's understandably more expensive among the menu items. Either way, you don't get gipped here. The steak came with a salad and a baked potato which was perfect. I can't say enough about the service. We had two of the big 25 ounce beers each, but then switched to iced tea and they just kept refilling us every time the glass got half empty. I'm from NOrth carolina and I'm totally impressed with the quality and comfort of this restaurant. Please open back east!

Great BBQ and service

Since I've visited Wood Ranch in other locations, I was so excited when it moved to Cerritos. Overall, it is a great barbeque restaurant with great service. I usually get the half BBQ chicken, which is usually moist and delicious. Also, the servers are always very attentive and friendly here. It can be a long wait for dinner, so I suggest trying it for lunch first to try some smaller portions and less expensive menu items before heading out for dinner.
