WOW!!!!. This place is AMAZING!!! The sitting area was very welcoming. There was cool clothing, and huge variety of piercing jewelry, and most importantly a beautiful Japanese Koi fishpond. I met with artist Ian Micheal; we made an appointment for a custom piece. When I arrived for my appointment I was very pleased with his drawing. I filled out some paperwork while his workstation was set up. The shop is very clean and the artist was very organized. This was my fourth tattoo, so I am familiar with what they feel like. He was very considerate and all around very cool. This is a place I strongly recommend. I am so pleased with my rad tattoo, the service I received and the shop. Great going Velvet grip guys and girls! You rock!

Great piercing experience. Todd is AWESOME. He pierced my navel and it was like nothing had even happened. He's a really cool guy, and some of his piercings are so badass.

best customer service and talent anywhere. i have been to many tattoo parlors for small peices to large works of art and never have i been to such an amazing shop. most tattoo shops are impressive by the look in the parlor drawing you in thinking about how clean and safe it appears where others attract you by the creativity of the artist or by outstanding customer service. never have i been to a parlor than exceeded my expectations in all aspects! My tattoo artist at velvet grip is "the TODD" who is extremly talented, creative and truley amazing in how he makes your experience absolutly delightfull with his wonderfull personality and outstanding customer service as well as all the other incredible artists. as indecisive and picky as i am he spent hours with me working on just overall creating something that i was happy with no matter how many adjustments we had to make. i just want emphasize how horrible it is to be making such an important decision to permentantly alter part of your apperance with someone who has no patients or a crued attitude. i have many tattoos and my ultimate experience is working with TODD fixing old tattoos and creating new ones. if your doubtfull or searching for talent, stop by velvet grip and they' ll work with you finding something to make you happy, completely comfortable and satisfied with what ever your ideas are.
