In Short
This Korean import might not be a chicken's best friend, but it sure knows how to serve up tasty poultry dishes to its human counterparts. The samgyetang (chicken ginseng soup) is renowned in Korea and here, the staple has become a bit of a favorite among the crowd of mostly Korean-speaking L.A. locals. Another famous soup dish is kulguksoo, which is chicken soup with hand-cut noodles and winter squash.

We've been there for lunch yesterday. The green peppers with fermented bean paste and the banchan are all made fresh, authentic. Since this is my first time trying out the Samyetang, I think it was mediocre, the stuffed chicken was a bit small. And we had a spicy beef rib dish, that's really impressed. I would definitely come back next time.

Know Before You Go:
This plaza is a helpless case for vegetarians. Right beside Keumsan there is another restaurant that serves only pork dishes.
The Extras:
The panchan, or small dishes, feature slender green peppers with fermented bean paste. Brave the spicy tinge by munching on them like baby carrots.
