Formerly known as the Henry Fonda Theatre, this historic theater first opened in 1926 and frequently played host to silver screen legends like Marlene Dietrich and Clark Gable. Today, all-access freedom and performances from top rock acts offers a decidedly more laidback experience. The standing-room-only main space sets an interactive vibe while the upstairs mezzanine leads to the sleek rooftop speakeasy, where folks can get a drink, hang in the indoor lounge area, take in the views of Hollywood or light up with nary a disapproving stare. One of the best venues in town

Great place to see a small or indie type of band. No hassles inside, unless you try to sneak into G.A., and good sound quality. Not a huge issue seeing the stage from any spot. Fun place to hear live music.
- Pros: location, parking, staff
- Cons: size
Great place for private parties!

I've been here many times, each time for a private industry party. I really like roaming around the different levels and bumping into people I know. It's also great because you get to finish one conversation then get lost in the crowd and avoid looking like a leech. Their bartenders are very friendly and the stage sounds great! I'd be curious to come here for a regular event with the public but I probably wouldn't have as good of a time.
my fave venue

This is now my favorite concert venue in LA. The theatre has nice retro decor and there's an upstairs lounge area where you can relax during the opening bands and have a nice view of Hollywood. The layout of the stage is good, too, you feel close to the band.
