No so great anymore. This used to be one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles. We had been here probably five times and it had always been a wonderful dining experience until last night.

The "Omakase" chef's special last night was the worst in both quality and quantity we had there. We were all very disappointed. It seemed too good to be true to be getting all that wonderful authentic dishes for $30, and maybe it was. We wouldn't have minded if they had raised the price to $35 or even $40 if they needed to keep the same quality and quantity.

I'm not sure if we will go back there again.

Great Authentic Japanese Food, Very Reasonable. If you want to experience REAL Japanese food, try here. This restaurant is all OMAKASE course (which means chef's choice) for $30 per person. Your server will bring you smaller portions of 10-13 dishes of sashimi, tofu dishes, vegetables, seafood, chicken, pork and other delicious & creative dishes. The atmosphere is typical of a traditional Japanese Izakaya style (like tapas) restaurant. This is a great place to bring friends or a date for a relaxed, casual and unique dining experience. If you don't know what to order but want to eat sampling variety of Japanese food, this is the place to be.
