The owner is a joke, the staff tries their best but just come up short. took my doggie in their the other week and turned out to be a huge waist of time. The owner who is obviously not a groomer sits at the counter and as I was explaining to the groomer what type of cut I wanted he starts butting in and telling me that I need to cut it a different way. We went back and forth like this for a while and than he just started to raise his voice and got really rude.
Merci merci!. Fantastic Experience! I just moved back to LA from NYC and my long-haired indoor cat got out the other day and was attacked by fleas. Outrageous was able to take us with no advance appt and did a wonderful job grooming my little princess. The groomers were very kind and gentle and took excellent care of her. She's now sporting a lion cat, has a fresh mani/ pedi and no more fleas. I will definitely be back.
A groomer to avoid.
I assumed....incorrectly. That because we received amazing customer service at check in, the facility in the self dog wash seemed clean and that there was a steady stream of dogs and their parents wandering in, that we were taking our 'child' to a wonderful dog groomer in West Hollywood, CA.
Little did we know...we would get our dog back with a scratched cornea! We brought our dog in for a full service groom. When she came out she had her eye shut. We asked the receptionist and groomers if they knew what happened. They assumed she had soap in her eye and that she'd be fine the next day. They said the groomer who performed her service had gone home for the day. The next day came and she was not fine. We called the owner of the dog wash and he said he would have the groomer call us and let us know if anything had happened unexpectedly during her visit.
They never called back.
We took her to the vet on a Sunday no less. The vet ran a test and concluded that she had an ulcer on her eye and she was not sure if it was chemically induced or if was physically scratched.
After all this drama...
I still paid for my grooming session and still paid for my emergency vet trip & medicine and my dog is bumming around in a cone on her head for a week. Had I ignored it, it could have been much worse. I would avoid this dog wash like they avoided taking for responsibility for what they did. Its not the problem that occurred; I understand this could happen anywhere, I take issue with the way they handled the problem and/or avoided it.
