knowledgable staff, fantastic atmosphere, enjoy happy hour specials, completely overpriced restaurant, favorite wine, good service, pleasant memory
Overpriced and horrible customer service.
I had the worst experience at the bar. They sold me a bottle of wine at $28.0 and I found that the same bottle is being sold at $11.0 after I got home. I called to ask if I could returned the the bottles and got a nasty lecture of how they run their business.
I asked a simple question if I have a right to return the bottles that night. and they said yes, I DO. They told me to come back by midnight - I call them at 11:00 PM - and I drove there before midnight. Believe me or not, I basically got yelled at when I asked for the refund by the guy who sold me the bottles and worst, he told me in front of all the customers that they do not need a customer like me.
It really blew my mind how poorly they treat their customers and how arrogant they are. You may go there for drinking wine but be aware how outrageous their price is. And Never Never buy a bottle of wine unless you check the price of the bottles somewhere else first!
Best happy hour in LA?.
I'm really sad.
Me being a Westside girl. You being.....god knows where. I know my chances of coming back to you is slim to none. I mean, Los Feliz? You might as well be in China. Vinoteca will soon fade away as a pleasant memory as that passionate one time fling in Tijuana.
I will miss your oaky, sophisticated interior. The vast selection of beers and wine on tap! The cool blast of AC that welcomed me as I trekked down that (god awful) hill from the Greek Theatre.
I'm jealous of your other lovers that will get to enjoy your awesome 4-7 happy hour specials. Wines and beer from 6 bucks? Super heavy pours? Thank you for introducing me to Brachetto. It is now my new favorite wine. And that bread! I'm sorry I had three baskets full :(
Your food? Full of win. We had a feast dining on Ceviche Vinoteca, Jamon Serrano, Fritto Misto Di Pesce, Mushroom Polenta. The ceviche portion was humongous and delicious. The fried calamari was breaded lightly and the shrimp/fish/zucchini really jazzed it up. The mushroom polenta was earthy, well seasoned and light. And the jamon! Simply amazing. Way to not cheapen or cheat your customers as many places do for their "happy hour" specials.
Thank you for letting us kill a couple hours before our show. You were packed but never rushed us. Such a wonderful, chill atmosphere. You and me? Made For Each Other.
Now the question is, when are you moving to the Westside? (Popped collars are optional but recommended.)
Enjoy a variety of fine wines by the glass and a diverse assortment of Italian and Brazilian antipasti at this relaxed yet refined Los Feliz wine bar..
In Short
Enter this narrow space, adjacent to sister restaurant Farfalla, where low lights, dark wood wine racks and chalkboard specials welcome everyone from wine novices to true connoisseurs. The bar offers over 45 wines by the glass and a number of beers on tap that complement the eclectic cuisine. Drawing from Italian and Brazilian influences, the antipasti and specialty menu runs the gamut from cheese and olive plates to empanadas and ceviche. And don't forget about desserts (like a smooth affogato, ice cream with a shot of espresso) while you finish that last glass.
COMPLETELY OVERPRICED!!!!.
Completely overpriced restaurant! These people are taking HUGE margins on their wines by the glass...the only plate I would recommend is the procuitto, but at $18 a plate, you might want to reconsider.
The risottto came lukewarm, and worst of all, we spent over $100 and sat at a bar! Overall, zero value for your money.
Best Wine Bar in LA. I love this place. The staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgable. OK, so I might be a bit biased as this has become my local haunt, but the food is great, the wine sublime and the atmosphere fantastic.
Great place!. I went there two days ago. Small place, warm atmosphere, Good service. Great wine selection by the glass. I really enjoyed the risotto served out of a parmigiano wheel, the ceviche appetizer was good too. Reasonable price for food and wine. Will be back soon to try the rest of the menu.
