Nice people, but the clothes ... oy vey!

Leona Edmiston is one of the biggest designers to come out of Australia but i seriously don't know how this store stays in business. (There's also a location on Montana in SM.) It hasn't been around that long, but it already looks a bit beat. The sales clerks are really nice & the underthings are cute, but nothing you couldn't get elsewhere for less. Most of the dresses are clingy & polyester-ish and that's just not my style. THen again, we are in LA, the city of clingy plastic folks so i guess i just answered my own question!

Fabulous frocks

I am positively addicted to Leona Edmiston's curve-flattering frocks! The styles, fabrics and patterns are all designed with simple elegance in mind and it's hard to walk away empty-handed. I especially appreciate that you don't have to look like a super model to wear these dresses--even the evening gowns. The prices can be a bit high, but not excessively--especially not for designer wear. Also, they frequently have huge sales. I usually go to the smaller store on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, but regardless of which location you visit, the friendly sales staff are sure to treat you right--they may even offer you a bottle of water if you work up a thirst trying on all those clothes!
