You no longer have to be at the mercy of boutique prices for adorable, stylish baby clothes! Designer Angelyn de la Garza opened her Eagle Rock outlet to offer overstocks of her Kumquat line, which is sold at much pricier shops across the country. Modern, comfy and made in LA, the clothes feature whimsical fabrics adorned with elephants, hippos, chickadees, guitars, dinosaurs and a heck of a lot more. The cheery space is deceptively small--upon first glance, there aren't that many clothing racks. Then you realize that there's only one of everything on display on that long rack below the counter. Available in various sizes from P to 4T, the duds are all stocked in those cute green boxes behind the counter, a la your favorite jean bar. Expect prices to be anywhere from 25% to 50% below retail, and whatever you do, don't miss the $6 clearance rack (no, that's not a typo). Kumquat's ridiculously cute fabrics can also be found on bibs, blankets and burp cloths. In addition to Kumquat clothing, you'll find shoes from lines like Keep, Livie & Luca and Sweet Shoes, plus accessories like handmade barrettes and backpacks. There are also a few wooden toys, bamboo mobiles, organic plush toys and the like. A sunny play area in the front keeps the kiddos occupied.
