PLACE SUCKS SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Save your 20 bucks and go somewhere else. The people here are rude, take forever, and don't listen. I got a buzz cut when I asked for a haircut. My hair was patchy and the stylist had such an attitude....She was obviously over it. I didn't get a shave on the back of my neck. I waited 10 minutes to pay. She insulted my hair. The list goes on. RUDY'S on MELROSE SUCKS!!!!

ALSO LOOKOUT FOR ALL THEIR FAKE GOOD REVIEWS ON THIS PLACE.

Best of the LA Rudy's Locations. I've been to all of the Rudy's in LA and the Melrose location is by far the best (sorry Silverlake). The wait can be long but call ahead and put your name down. I've been seeing Chrissy for the last year or so and have yet to regret a cut -- she's great. I've heard good things about all the other stylists as well. Overall, hard to beat for 26 bucks.

Great Barber= Automatic Awesome Experience. Tipton is a great barber, in addition to being an interesting conversationalist, a fun guy to talk to, and someone who really takes the time and the effort to make you look good. I was fortunate to get him awhile back and ever since I've always asked for him and tipped handsomely. I used to dread going to the barber, since I could never be sure what the result would be, and whether I'd have anything to talk about with my barber or if he or she wouldn't talk at all. Now it's something I look forward to, and I always feel better afterwards. I just hope this doesn't catch on too much.

FINALLY!. I just got the best haircut ever from Lissa on Melrose. I haven't found anyone to give me the cut I wanted without trying to rob me roadside. Finally the cut I wanted at such an inexpensive price. Lissa knows exactly what she's doing. Gotta call ahead though cause she is tough to get into but totally worth it. As long as you call ahead and request who you want you are golden. Actually ask for any one else, cause I dont want it to be any more difficult to get into see my one and only stylist forever!!!

Nostalgic charm and modern haircuts merge at this happening Melrose garage-turned-barbershop.. The Scene
One peek inside this industrial-strength garage and the term "greaser" comes to mind. Rudy's is an original in the trim, style and cut market. The high ceilings and lowimpact approach of the layout combine to create a cool environment that can be enjoyed while waiting (and waiting) for a turn in the chair. Once seated, your coif will be clipped as you take in the collage of rock-and-roll posters that cover the walls.

The Goods
The services are clearly painted or posted on the wall, both inside and out, and are delivered with this simple (and comforting) promise: "Cheap Cuts, No Nicks." In addition to all things tonsorial, Rudy's offers coloring, styling and blowouts. At the counter you'll also find a small, eclectic selection of CDs, magazines and beauty products.
