pecan sticky buns. culver bakery: pecan sticky buns.

The buns are vegan--I don't get how they can be so devilishly yummy--but I am thankful for their recipe, and prefer these sticky buns to all others out there in the world. ;)

Their counter coffee is French press--dark, smooth, strong and just enough oily. The place is tiny and most of the business occurs in the too early times of the morning, so I like going at about 9 a.m. when the morning crowd has vamoosed. Fresh pastries are still there, just not in as plentiful of numbers. But hey, I'm just one woman--how many pastries could I possibly eat in one sitting?

I even had a business meeting there one morning! They have wifi, we had the tiny place all to ourselves, and we were happy in the oh-so-wonderful aromas of a real working bakery. 3 grand reasons to meet there again!

Can hardly wait until it's morning... Heh. :P

Too much attitude. I like the food, but if you order on the phone, be prepared to be met by people who are rude. Every time I have called the hostess has zero patience for questions about the menu. Their website is hard to navigate, so best to physically go in to order.

Not Your Dennys!!!. I have been coming here every morning for coffee for the last year and a half and I challenge you to find a better lattee or cappucino within a 15-mile radius (my drive to work!). One morning I tried their Greek Omelette and I was hooked. Now I have been known to drive 15 miles on a non-work day for it. I agree with nswolf's comment about the menu being small but there is noway I would agree with the comment "nothing special"! I would love to know what breakfast restaurant she/he considers special???? Looking at his/her comment regarding "the portions not being generous"; I'm guessing his/her idea of special is probably Denny's or Norm's or some other typical chain that caters to that portion of the ever-expanding US waistline population as opposed to the more self-controlled, quality-appreciative evolving US pallette?.

This place is the best.. I go out of my way most mornings to get breakfast at Dolce Vita. It's really the best in the the area. The crossaints and muffins are incredible, they have a full breakfast menu and great coffee. Everything is made fresh right there in the bakery. I highly recommend this place!

Not memorable. We tried them for breakfast. The menu was small, but had your basic breakfast items. I had french toast and my friend had an omlet. They were fine, but nothing special. They also offered smoothies so we each had one with breakfast and they were okay. The price was a little high given that the food was average and the portions were not generous. Wouldn't recommend that anyone stay away, but it isn't worth going out of your way to try them.
