karelan homecooking. Indian restaurants are a dime a dozen throughout metropolitan USA, but Annapurna feels like home cooking no matter the region. Specializing in south indian Karelan speciality, this spot excels in the home cooked vibe. Dosas, veda, russam, somber are all perfectly executed unless you are used to food from further north in Tamil Nadu. Even then, you can savor the extra garlic and the uncommon beef dishes and realize that this is the best Indian/ Pakistani restaurant in SoCal ever!

Great place with mouth watering dosas, chole baturas. WHat more you expect from a restaurant. It is great at dosas, lunch menu, and in special as fresh as home food. I have visited this place with my customers. They liked it as compared to any other indian or american restuarants in LA. This is now recommended by my customers considering the food taste, ambience, and on top of all superb hospitality

Love south indian food. This place is authentic south indian food. As a Tamilian, I am particularly impressed with the flavor and consistency. At all times the staff was very polite and helpful. I frequently get takeouts and drive all the way to Agoura Hills. They even advised me about packing it.

I give this place 5 stars and kudos to the staff.

The worst restaurant I've even been to. This place is a joke.

I just came back from there.

I couldn't wait long for writing a review.

I had a lunch buffet.

Very few choices; terrible food; no meat at all, even chicken (its name was actually "pure vegetarian food")

If I had known about it, I would never have paid 14 dollars for that terrible food.

The worst thing about it was that **they were incredibly rude**.

Never waste your money, your taste, and your beautiful Sunday!!!

Terrible service and mediocre food. The waiter was miserable and rude and wants to make sure the patrons feel the same way. He didn't check on me at all and wouldn't answer any of my questions about the food.

The food was mediocre at best. I got the lunch platter with unidentified curries on it. Most of the items had the consistency of water and the bread was stale. There are too many good indian restaurants in this city to waste your time and money at this one.

Yummy dosas!. Wow! This is the place to go for dosas. I absolutely love the butter masala dosa!! It was so fantastic. The mango lassi was also good. Definately a place to try if you like vegetarian dishes.

Great menu, excellent food and good for kids!. Been meaning to try Annapurna for months now, being that it's only a few blocks from our house and everyone says it's so good, and finally decided to go last night. We got there a little after 5:00 and were given a large booth perfect for the kids...and good thing we got there early because the restaurant filled up quickly while we ate.

I'm very familiar with Indian cuisine, but even so, the menu was a matrix of things I've never heard of before and was thus a bit overwhelming especially having to order kid friendly food. Not to worry though, the host was extremely friendly and helpful and made several "kid-friendly" recommendations along with a couple of spicier dishes that my wife and I could enjoy.

It was all really really good. We had samosas, vegetable cutlets, idly (steamed rice lentil cake, dosas (huge cone shaped crepes with phenomenal side sauces), Dal and a mushroom curry...and mopped it all up with some fantastic butter and garlic nan. For dessert, we had Gulab Jamoon - (deep fried milkballs served with light syrup), Almond Halwa (ground almonds cooked in heavy milk sauce and melted butter), and homemade Mugalai ice cream. The kids, of course, mostly enjoyed the nan and dessert.

I plan on going back to continue working my way through the menu...and I dig that it's all vegetarian.

Excellent Vegetarian Food. Food here was very very good... Also the service was great, we ordered a south indian thali and got lots of variety of items in it... out of that we told the waiter that i did not need the egg plant curry and instead the waiter gave us a different dish immediately.

Also Idlies and dosas were great... overall very good food and reasonably priced. also there were desktops in each table, which i beleive the customers can use to surf while eating.....

Highly recommended and worth a try for good south indian vegetarian food.
