Fell apart after about 24 hours of wearing
by suzymontelongo at Citysearch
I paid $207 for my pair at Bloomingdale's in PA. It's more than I usually spend, but I figured it was worth it if they were the only pair of jeans I buy for a while.
I wore them for a couple days, and a hole formed on the right upper thigh, below the butt. I wore them a little longer and it just kept getting bigger until they were unwearable. (By the way, I wasn't doing any strenuous activity, and they didn't fit particularly tightly).
Anyway, I got lucky and Bloomingdale's gave me a refund. But I'll probably never buy another pair of this brand again, unless I come across them at a really deep discount. From other reviews I've found online, it doesn't seem as though the ripping/falling apart was a fluke.
- Pros: soft, good design and wash
- Cons: fell apart right away
Poor Quality

I purchased a pair of Citizens of Humanity jeans from Saks Fifth Avenue. After having used them only a few times a hole about 1.5" appeared in the back under the belt line. At first I let that go as I figured the style of these jeans had the "worn in" look and already had a few rips built in as a design element - Plus, I figured I could bring it in somewhere to have it repaired easily enough. However, one month later another hole appeared while I was out, someone had to tell me I had a huge rip below my butt!!
Granted, Citizens jeans fit well, the material is comfortable and they are easy to clean, etc. So I figured spending around $200 for a pair are worth it.. but this pair fell apart in under 2 months!!! For the price you would expect a higher level of quality - a 2 month life span should NOT be a level of quality acceptable for a company such as COH.
I emailed COH directly to inquire if there was anywhere I could send my jeans to be repaired or replaced? They ignored my email countless times, after the fourth email I finally received a response telling me that they were "so sorry" to hear about my experience with their product but they were unable to fix the jeans. Overall, they were of no help and I will certainly NOT be making any future purchases from their brand/company.
- Pros: Good fit, comfortable material
- Cons: Poor quality and construction
Extremely fragile =(

I've always found my best pairs of jeans to be the cheap finds at Ross or Marshalls- so when my boyfriend wanted to get me a pair of designer jeans for Christmas, I thought "wow, these will be way better fitting and in quality than my 14.99$ Ross jeans!"....
I found the perfect pair of jeans at Macy's- a pair of low rise Citizens of Humanity jeans. And after spending 236$ on them, I took them to the Macy's tailor to be hemmed to my leg length- as soon as I pulled my newly purchased jeans up, they ripped! They were on of a kind, so rather than return them, I accepted to offer to have them sewn for free at Macy's.
I got them back January 16ths- it is now March 18th, and they have more then 5 random rips in them- I had the first one repaired, now I've just accepted these will have to be my "ripped up" jeans, and not the hot ones they were a mere 2 months ago when I bought them.
I guess it's back to Levi's for me.
- Pros: They look great at first.....
- Cons: Extremely poorly made
