crispy rice spicy tuna, best sushi, wonderful sushi place, great neighborhood sushi restaurant, good service, great neighborhood spot, decent price
Great spot. Right in the heart of Manhattan Beach, this restaurant hits the spot. Great food and service.
Yummy Sushi!!!. I love this cozy place! the best sushi i've tried so far... favorites crispy spicy tuna, rainbow roll, scallops on the stick..( I think it's scallop).. The dessert was great too ! green tea ice cream with fried banana to die for! I just want to keep coming back to this place.. I think i'm going there right now! LOL!
One of the best sushi bar. I love this wonderful sushi place. The sushi/sashimi are fresh fresh fresh!!! I love anything served by the sushi chef. Just tell him what you don't like and he'll serve all kind of yummy sushi. You have to try their albacore with garlic wasabi ( I think), scallop sashimi, sea urchin and the giant clam on the skewer thing. Crispy spicy tuna is also my favorite. I haven't tried anything I don't like here..they are all good.
Editorial Review. Diners take in sweeping ocean views while noshing on delicately prepared sushi and other Japanese favorites.
Love it - good neighborhood spot. Great restaurant for sushi in Manhattan Beach... Good service, nice happy hours, and pretty good sushi ... !!!
Eureka, you found it!.
Hermosa and Manhattan have far more BAD sushi restaurants than good ones.
As far as I'm concerned this is one of the best in the neighborhood.
Things I like:
Killer happy hour
Crispy Spicy Tuna
Special Philly Roll
Yellowtail Sashimi
Friendly Service
If this placed is packed (which it often is), walk a few blocks south on Highland and go to Pisces for
take-out.
Kat-SUPER!. Great neighborhood sushi restaurant with good happy hour deals. Warm, fun, hip atmosphere inside and very friendly sushi chefs and wait staff. Try the crispy spicy tuna. Definitely recommended!
Go for Happy Hour. unlike most places, their happy hour really does last for only an hour... so, be sure you're there promptly at 5:30. the tiny place can easily be missed, if you're not looking for it. and, yes. katsu fills up close to the weekend and in the summer. we recommend sitting at the bar to get the best service. they have 99-cent kerin and half priced hand rolls. edamame could be better, but definitely the best calamari in town!! oh, another note... the ladies room has a seat-warming bidet. (random, but cool.)
Best sushi in Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach isn't necessarily a sushi mecca, but Katsu holds its own. The crispy rice spicy tuna is excellent as well as the sashimi. Fresh fish at a decent price. The only downside is that it is difficult to find parking. Happy hour daily.
