Editorial Review for Club V20 – by Michael Martin
In Short
Brushed steel walls, sturdy columns and floor-to-ceiling wood dividers strike an industrial architectural tone at Long Beach's largest dance club. Dramatic sofas accented in Zebrawood and brightly colored bolsters surround a freestandng bar laden with bottle-throwing bartenders. A tubular galley bridges the lounge area to a Vegas-style dance floor with state-of-the-art sound system and well-configured acoustics. DJs spin from an elevated podium and on the two outdoor patios. A separate dining room shellfish, salad appetizers and a full sushi bar.

Insider Tips
Save TimeA weekend dinner reservation, although hard to come by, will avoid a lengthy wait in line.
Know Before You GoBe prepared to shell out anywhere upwards of $15 to $20 cover charge on weekends and for special events, but note this is the only LBC nightclub attracting celebrity mixologists like Christopher Lawrence, who usually only play megaclubs in Hollywood.
Look GoodThe club is "dress code enforced," meaning that sneakers, baseballs cap, tank tops and shorts are not permitted.

I went to this club a week ago for my brothers birthday. It was my first time in this club and I was impressed. The club is descent in size with the main dance floor playing hip hop and the other one playing latin music. Drinks are a little on the expensive side but nothing out of the ordinary. Dont know about the cover charge since we were on the guestlist. For the most part dress code is casual. Avoid Saturday nights if you are not asian, I guess its Asian nights on Saturdays.
Pros: Music, Ambience, Ladies
Cons: Parking, Cover, Cops

when i first turned 21 this was where you would find me on the weekend. The closest parking structure only costs about $6 but usually you have to park on the higher floors, walk down the stairs and walk to the club. Usually the lines arent too bad and move quickly but there was a night that the line wrapped around the block. Aesthetically the club is pretty well put together. The bathroom is huge so there's rarely a long wait. Dancefloor gets packed pretty quickly. The second room usually has electronic/reggae. I'm not sure why the patio is split in two but the larger one is a nice place to hang out and socialize. I prefer to get drinks from the outdoor bars since the lines are shorter and bartenders are friendlier and pour pretty heavy. On the nights asian promoters are there, the crowd is mainly chinese, viet, cambodian and korean with the occasional non-asian mixed in. Drunkards beware...when you come out of the club around 1-2am, there's always an army of cops parked right outside.
Pros: cheap parking, bartenders, patio, $5 specials
Cons: park a distance to/from club, lots of cops
