Glenn Heating M G M Heating and Air. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARC MITTLEMAN aka Glenn Heating and Air or most recently M G M Heating and Air. This guy does NOT stand behind his work and is constantly changing business name and address to avoid people he screwed over. Terrible work and worst customer service. PLEASE do not do business with this clown YOU will be sorry!! If you don't believe me check out his reviews on Citysearch and yahoo under M G M Heating and Air in Arcadia, CA
central heat and air installation. this guy has no idea what he's doing. he put a unit in our place without checking out the existing system. as a result the central air and heat do not work. he also made a potentially deadly mistake which if we didn't catch could have been fatal. we took him to court and sued and won unfortunately it was not nearly enough to cover the cost of replacing the entire unit....which is exactly what we have to do. you should also check into his contractors license which has been suspended at least once that i know of. when we took him to court he didn't even show up because someone else was suing him at the same time. i have never in my life written a review for anything but i feel it is so important to warn people how dangerous and ignorant this man is when it comes to his job.
Incompetent Owner & Installers.
I had a HVAC unit installed several years ago by them and in the process they created a structural issue with my house. They should have pulled a permit for the job but they told me one wasn't necessary. (it would just slow them down you know) When I went to sell my house their incompetance came out and I had to fix it the RIGHT WAY. All I wanted them to do is take responsiblity for their mistake and pay for the cost of correcting the damage they inflicted on the property. Of course you can all guess the outcome of that...they wouldn't return calls and could care less about standing behind their work.
Another thing everyone should know they are a licensed contractor but there is a statute of limitations for shoddy workmanship. You have four years to file a compliant on a contractor with the state license board. After that period you are out of luck and have to take them to civil court...good luck with that!
If you use this company I would question everything they do.
Bad intall. Bad intall, ducts not properly sealed, i have been cooling the attic for two years now. drain lines were backwards causing the pump to burn out. rusted drip pan and spilled over to leak in the roof. ducts not pulled tight to have proper air flow. i have been getting two tons of eff. out of a 4 ton unit. would never recomend this company to anyone. i had to call out another company to fix these problems. all glenn heating and air was able to say was not our problem your warrenty is up. but these were all due to bad intall not bad equipment
glowing refferals made me call, but I'm not doing as well as my 2 friends. The receptionist at Glenn Heating & Air referred to Jeff for an estimate. I called, left a message and Jeff returned my call three days later. In 3 weeks of scheduling appointments, there were 2 no shows (not even a call). I asked for a third appointment. Third appointment promised Saturday at 3:00pm or I get a free system. Jeff assured me he will be at the third appointment because he doesn't intend to buy me a central air conditioning. Third day off waiting at home for Jeff and 3rd time was a no show and no call. I called Jeff. Got another excuse and he will be over in an hour. Jeff arrived and was most cordial. Jeff looked at the electrical that needed to be upgraded, and old floor furnace, and he said they will take. Jeff and I sat down at my outside table to go over the numbers. I said I'd decide on Monday and that's where he got emotional. Jeff explained this price is good now and now only, not Monday, not next month or 6 months from now. If I call back on Monday, I get the call back price that is 50% higher. Then he offered to let me decide on Monday. Jeff explained that his installation crew was slow this week and he could install everything on Tuesday. He was at a home show in Pomona and got ten closings, but eight did not qualify for credit. I reminded him I would pay cash and he dropped the price $500. Jeff got up from the table and he called me a FWOT. Twice in the back yard, once walking back to his car, he raised his voice so the neighbors could here his claims I was a FWOT, and a last time he rolled down his window as he was driving off. I asked what a FWOT was and he said it was derogatory. I looked it up. It is derogatory in common usage. I'm retired military, so I really didn't take any offense to the use of such words. Now on his side, a rock broke his new car?s windshield driving over to see me. Suppose he saw the broken glass, damaged windshield frame and dented A-pillar on his new Mercedes window again as he was yelling at me from his car.
