Horrible Service... Avoid it at all costs! – Horrible Service... Avoid at all costs!
After raving about how good their Honolulu burger was, I had gone back on 3 separate occasions. It seems like every visit brings me way down on the high I was on the first time around. My wife and I, along with some friends, were excited to begin trying other burgers on the menu and we found that none have met our expectations since visit #1. The best thing on the menu has been their sliders... and that's about it. Tried the Lamb chop burger... BUST. Tried the Korean BBQ Burger... BUST. Hollywood Burger... made me want the sliders instead.
And more importantly, the service from manager Shane is god awful and arrogant. He's served us on the last 3 occasions and each time it's something different. First, my friend ordered a Sopporo not having had once since having LIVED IN JAPAN and Shane wound up trying to "educate" my friend saying that Sapporo really is a beer from New York. Arrogant! Two weeks later my wife ordered an extra dirty martini and when asked to take it back because it was too strong, Shane began arguing me about how a martini is supposed to be strong. Good point...if my wife had ordered a dry martini. By the way my wife orders this drink quite often and has never had an issue with it being mixed the right way...specifically in Valencia... places like Lazy Dog, BJ's, Sabor...etc. have all been able to execute the mixture correctly. Shane stood there and argued with me bothered by the fact I nicely asked for the bartender to dilute the martini just a bit more... ARROGANT. Every time he brought a dish to my table he proceeded to say "you're welcome" to everyone else at my table except me even though we all said "Thank You."
Truthfully... I say to all of you... STAY AWAY and don't give your money to this establishment. Save yourself a trip and go across the street to BJ's... heck go to Johnny Rockets or Island's which isn't far from there either. You'll be much happier and get better service...
If you love horrible service, this place is for you! – Imagine yourself getting all spruced up to take your mom out to fancy dinner for her Birthday, just to get told, " Sorry, there are no more tables available". Thats what happend to my family and I. We arrived at Origami around 9p for our very first Origami experience. The inside was completely empty, but there were tables outside on patio where people were eating. When the receptionists asked me if we were there for dinner, obvious as we had a baby stroller with us, he advised us to hold on one minute. Then comes the older manager, advising us that there are no tables available, looking a bit shocked, i asked " excuse me?" , he stated again, there were no tables available, i then asked him " So, theres no waiting list, or what? " He then said " Oh, yeah..well, it could be half hour". I then said " Forget it, you dont want our business",as we walked out. So to me, it just seemed like he didnt want a family with a baby to be at his "hot spot" restaurant. I am goin to let everyone I know how horrible this experience was. Like they say "all dressed up and nowhere to go". Way to make my moms bday a memorable one! This place is a joke!
New York style restaurant Lands in the – One thing that Santa Clarita has been missing for a long time is a non-chain restaurant with great food and urban hip ambiance. Oragami has it all. From the unique bar set up with a cool bamboo "wall" to the romantic, gourmet feeling dining room your experience will transport you from the suburbs to that New York frame of mind. Order the lobster roll. Yummy!!! All the sushi that I've had there is terrific including the albacore (one of my faves) and I forget the name of the dish that came out ON FIRE, but I highly recommend that flavor sensation. Origami is worth the drive from the Valley to taste some new foods and experience a different pace. The restaurant is located near Town Center and across the from the Hyatt so there is plenty to do after dinner is over.
