fantastic food, superb great place, very good service, great experience, great music, nice patio, not recommend definitely
…. no taste, no flavor, just disappointment.
This restaurant has nothing to do with Russian food: Teriyaki steak, Crispy fried flounder, BBQ chicken salad… .If I like to get Asian food I would go to Asian restaurant, not to place called “ Red Square”. But even those dishes were not well prepared.
The Russian food was not Russian, and was not food…. no taste, no flavor, just disappointment.
It is not even Eurasian cuisine.
The meat and fish tasted like Mc Donald’s leftovers. Definitely do not recommend.
Waiters are nice and the place looks fine, unfortunately I can not say the same about the food and a chef.
If you really like to try Russian food , just go to store called “Rasputin” at the same plaza. Nice, authentic.
visit in April 2010
Good food on Fridays. If you want something differnt than sushi in the valley, try this place. We had a great meal here on a Friday night...very festive.
Great musician, terrible food. Great music, professional violinist, great outside setting and ambiance. Terrible food, we were served uncooked, what they called pork chops. When we got home, both my husband and I had to v o m i t . Also restaurant doesn't serve alcohol. Best way to enjoy this place is take your own alcoholic drink (they allow it) and sit at the outside garden sitting and enjoy the music. Maybe order a simple, familiar apitizer. Don't eat any meal.
great experience...food is fantastic !!! a MUST TRY!!!. We wanted to give Russian food a try, found a place close to home in Encino...and.....what a great experience...food is fantastic and the outside patio is a great addition. Lamb in any form / shape is a must try there. be careful...fridays and Saturdays gets busy and reservation MIGHT BE NEEDED. Once you order, food keeps on coming, the owner is involved and the surprise tasters are truly "tasters" Enjoy!!!
Editorial Review. European-Asian fusion restaurant in Encino serves up unique Pan-Asian entrees on a relaxing outdoor patio.
We were so disappointed with this restaurant.
There were six of us on a Friday night a few weeks ago. The place was empty at 8:00. We could see two waiters. All of us were looking forward to Red Square and all six of us had terrible dinners. The pork was over-cooked, the steak was over-cooked, the lamb was over-cooked and the strogonoff was terrible and the servicve was awful. The waiter didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. We will not be going back.
I don't see how they stay in business.
Excellent European and Asian food, very authentic, great service. Price is right for a quality, cozy, nice patio.. Checked out this place on advice of my partner. Very cozy place, two patios: one enclosed and one open by the fountain. First impression as we walked in: clean, classicaly decorated, guests are in mid 30 to mid 40 range, well dressed even though casual. Checked out the menu: classical Eastern European/Asian food: borsht, Russian salad, Thai-BBQ salad, kebabs, steaks, seafood. Large choice of seafood and meat dishes, good wine and beer selection. We ordered two bawls of borsht, Donslkoy salad, herring with olives, and pork kebabs for main course. Everything was outstanding. Nothing to complain about, except that herring was a little bony. Kebab was superbly marinated, in best traditions of Central Asia. Service was very good. At around 9:00 pm life music started. I could do without it but guests around us seemed to enjoy it, so its fine. All in all, great place, superb food, reasonable prices, will return for sure.
