An absolutely "LOVE"-LESS experience! STAY AWAY!!!
by cactusheart at Citysearch
This visit will go down as one of THE worst restaurant experiences I ever had!I've never walked out feeling so embarrassed!!My husband & I walked in yesterday late afternoon & CRAZED w/hunger,as we hadn't eaten since early morning.Have U ever visited a restaurant way too hungry, and seeing everything look so good on the menu you end up ordering more than you have room for?Well, that's what happened w/us.We wrote our order down on the paper slip provided. That's when the unpleasantries began. The 2 chefs muttered amongst themselves in another language (japanese??),then looked @ us.I ignored it at first because...how could I know if they were really talking about us?But it kept happening & it began to get awkward.
Our orders began to pile up on our table cause,as I mentioned, our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs apparently *lol*.As the chef asked about the last order on our tab,I wasn't sure I even wanted it anymore, I was ALREADY staring at 2 unfinished plates in front of me.The chef exclaimed LOUDLY(to our embarassment) "WOWWW!! You eat TOO MUCH! Your order SO BIG! You REALLY eat a LOT!!"
He then proceeded to LOUDLY read off our tab, item by item, which caused chuckles among the other patrons & the other chef.I had the remainder of my order boxed away & left w/o leaving a tip(would YOU HAVE left one??)If I recall correctly, husb.& I split 8 rolls,2 hand rolls&1 appetizer.I was already stuffed, now this CREEP has me feeling like Jabba the Hut?Not the best treatment for someone willing to pay paying good $$ is it?The fish tasted great.Very good quality. But the rolls were made rather crappily. They would either be rolled too loosely(& fall apart)or not properly sliced. The pieces would still be attached(& fall apart when u pick 1 up).Salmon skin rolls were tough as jerky& tasted burnt
Go to Akasaka Sushi on the SEcorner of ViaPrincessa &Sierra Hwy. instead.I know I will from now on.Oh,& there's no shame in how hungry you are@Akasaka,as they offer "ALL U CAN EAT"
- Pros: JUMBO servings of hot fresh green tea YUM! 911 rolls are actually SPICY! Good quality fish! Nice waitress!
- Cons: Rude&unprofessional chefs,publicly embarassed by them,sushi rolls assembled/cut sloppy & fell apart
